  1. Your car should be PCM controlled. That's probably why. Mine done ever see above 14.0 - 14.4 His mustang I'm not sure if it is. tis not
  2. Thanks, in the most recent pic should the top or bottom cap be grounded I'm new to all this, Voltage drop refers to the alt not being able to supply additional/enough amps rights? I know you comment was aimed at c-fizzy, I'm just trying to understand it myself. Thanks. you are correct
  3. no they dont. when caps cannot fully charge and discharge (in a voltage drop scenario) they act as a passthrough. no different then a single piece of wire.
  4. Its magic orion I've always had a good charging voltage even with the stock alt.
  5. figured i listen to music on the way to work, why not record it? so i did
  6. you are welcome. thanks for the view i tried to come in chat last night but got that cjoin error so i gave up lol been kinda busy lately that lightning audio sub was my first real encounter with bass. my sister got two from her boyfriend. one went in her car the other just sat. so i stole it
  7. its cold out and i haven't made a vid in a bit so here is my home system i need a new camera
  8. Pioneer 760 watt kept overheating on me so i modded it.
  9. ext cab what all details would you like? alpha damp on roof hifonics hfi 2k 2 15" AB XFL 9 cubes 108 inches of port tuned to 34 currently box is subs up port passenger side (was port drivers side when i wrote this) subs have not broken in uhhh what else do you need?
  10. do you seriously believe those 6.5s will be able to make a clean transition at 45hz? ive never met a 140 db front stage. maybe i didn't make myself clear but he wants the higher notes to be strongest because 45-50hz hurts people more than 20-30hz does. what we are going to try is subs forward port up. one sub on each side and port in the center. what tuning should i try?
  11. We haven't tried subs forward port up with these subs but we did try it with a 15 inch tc9. I can't really compare the two. The speakers are memphis 6.5 inch coax ran off of the head unit
  12. Not my truck so my stuff is irrelevant The box is about 9 cubes 108 square inches of port tuned to 34 Subs up port side
  13. at this point he has two AB XFL 15s (it changes often though)
  14. its a 2002 chevy silverado the rest of the info you requested is useless since we have this issue regardless of type of sub, number of subs, size of subs, box, tuning, orientation, and even power 6th i may consider midbass drivers wont be able to keep up at that low of a frequency. they would need to take over at 45 hz and about 140 db (not much but for a midbass driver it may be a bit of a stretch lol)
  15. Doing a build in a truck. I've tried many different boxes, small, big, tuned low, tuned high but no matter what the notes around 45 hz and up are pitiful. The low notes, low and sub 30 are the loudest. So how can I fix this? Sure low notes are cool but playing all music is better than playing only super low stuff
  16. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/science/science-news/8901001/Speed-of-light-broken-again-as-scientists-test-neutrino-result.html Interesting, but the rule does still apply to radio waves. of course. i just had to throw that out there

  18. i can see what you mean. so the fluctuation of the gravity of the dead star is what would cause the oscillation of the wave. the only way i can see this making a perceivable and measurable sound wave is if the rate at which the black hole captures matter is so great that its size increases exponentially in a fraction of a second( pushing out like a subwoofer, except in all directions), and then the gravity of the original mass compacts it all down into the signularity in another fraction of a second. the only way that makes sense to me though is if it pushes the wave out exponentially faster than the speed of light, with the gravity of the mass staying above the speed of light, so we would still not be able to visually notice anything happening, due to the event horizon, but since the sound wave was going faster it could escape, and eventually reach earth no no no you have it wrong. its does not expand and compact very quickly, it does it very slowly. like i said earlier the particular frequency that was measured took 3 hours (earth hours) to complete a cycle. next thing, if you want to talk science try using less science words lol i understand what you were trying to say but it got jumbled and didnt quite make sense. now, this wave that we recorded was not "pushed out" like a traditional sound wave would be. this wave uses the entire universe as a medium. what this means is the black hole pulls on every entity in the entire universe regardless of distance. so, when the black hole expands ever galaxy, star etc. moves away from this particular black hole then after 1.5 hours (half of the cycle) every entity begins to get pulled back toward the black hole as its gravity returns. imagine a wave pool. the water in this case is the fabric of space-time and the wave would be the oscillation of the black hole. obviously it is not exactly the same but it give you an idea of how i see it in my mind. another way to think of it is using a sheet. in this case the sheet represents space-time. place some balls on the sheet spaced out. pull on the sheet at one singular point straight up. every single ball will be affected by this action, slowly let the sheet return and the balls will return to their spot (note this is opposite of what actually happens with a black hole, because pulling on the sheet represents gravity)
  19. gravitational resonance... Sani you are one clever motha, you know that? imagine with me if you will, as a black hole absorbs matter it slowly expands before it is able to compact the matter into the singular point which we assume is how black holes do what they do. this tiny amount of expansion would be very slow and virtually unnoticeable to everything but as it expands (even though it is gaining mass) the specific gravity will shrink (due to less density) which causes everything around the hole to be pulled slightly less essentially it causes a wave uses the entire universe as a medium i can explain further how this is possible if youd like
  20. first things first. sound is vibrations. period. in order for sound to travel it needs a medium to move through. space is essentially mediumless therefore sound cannot exist in space BUUUUUUT..... as Sani stated the dark matter may be able to transfer low frequencies but not higher ones. i cannot tell you why because i dont know. all you need to know is quantum mechanics is some crazy shit
