  1. Whats the max width you have? Center slot port, fire forward, seal it all off.
  2. How tall is the opening on your 2000? Will the subs fit without cutting?
  3. If its ported to the side, how will the bass enter the cabin? I'm assuming the trunk will be sealed off since you are firing the subs forward.
  4. Engine and drivetrain done, huh? Can we get a rundown?
  5. For example, my X896 only has bass-mid-treble (few steps down from my X794 IMO), I have it at Bass 0, mid -4, treble -1. Because the vocals are very overpowering in my setup.
  6. I should have been more specific. Yes more bands is better. The way I adjust the eq is by lowering overpowering freqs, not raising those that are lacking.
  7. I don't use subsonic. Just gotta know how low you can go safely. This means playing unfamiliar songs at low levels first to see how the subs handle it.
  8. If you can leave subwoofer at +6 without clipping, leave it. You can play with the HU eq a little to get the sound you want, just don't go maxing anything out. On the 175.4, there should be a switch for the crossover, hp-through-lp or something. Set it to hpf and the lpf knob does nothing. So just set the hpf knob to 80-100.
  9. Set the crossover on the 4-channel to 80-100 hp. The component crossover will take care of the rest. NO BASS BOOST!! Unless you ride around playing 45hz tones.
  10. You never ground it to a speaker terminal. If you get no signal with the probe in the pos speaker terminal, you can try putting it in the neg speaker terminal, leaving the dd-1 ground at the amp or batt negative.
  11. Subs should be disconnected while using the dd-1. Rca's hooked to the amp. Positive of the dd-1 harness to positive speaker terminal, negative to amp or battery ground, not speaker ground.
  12. The bass and treble have nothing to do with the level of the track you're playing. You can set the bass and treble to preference after you tune with the dd-1.
  13. set everything on the HU to zero. Use the 0db 1khz track to tune with the dd-1.
  14. Flat means '0', not -5. What HU do you have.
  15. Taking 5 bucks off on these tablets until midnight PST tonight. $120 shipped. Jump on the deal.

  16. Just leave the mirror off. To answer your question about bass breaking your windshield, it depends who you say that to.
  17. Can't wait to see how you cram 3 13" subs and 4 amps in that car.
  18. Disregard James' comment. He either "knows it all" or doesn't know shit.
  19. Android 8" tablets, 125 right to your door!!
