Ok I'll try connecting another battery together and see if that works, does it matter if I hook up an optima to it? My charger has a switch to select agm or gel cell, just wanna get it rite.

You know what I do have a viper alarm that stoped working after the swap, I wonder if that has somthing to do with it. Its a 96 town car which has a massive electrical system but the optima lasted much longer under the same conditions. I also have 8 optima group 31 in the trunk for the hydro system that are also 5 years old and I only charge those 3 times a year and they are still good. I think I will try a bigger xs power battery this time, cyber monday is comming up, I wonder if I can find a good deal on one. Also I think I'll get a battery tender too, definitely worth it. Yea thats the only battery im using, is that why? The optima that I took out is still good, I put it in my sisters car which she drives daily.

I bought a D3400 from summit racing in june 2011 to replace a five year old optima yellow top thats in a show car not a daily driver. The last time I drove the car was on fourth of july and yesterday went to bring the car out for black friday and it diddnt start. I put it on charge and the charger said it was at 5% so I let it charge for two hours then went to check it out and it was at 57% so I left it for another two hours and it says bad battery. I then did a load test and it was less than 6V and says to replace battery. I only got a year out of this battery that I thought was better then the optima. So my question is, how long are these batteries lasting for you guys? I would like to try out another xspower battery but I feel like I got ripped off.

Did it leave any stains? Cause if so you gotta start replacing the carpet, seat or where ever you found it. Lysol the shit out of the interior too, good luck.

My car had no main battery for the last five months and I just put a new battery in and the alarm and auto start does not work. Do I have to re-program it or somthing? I know nothing about alarms so thanks for any help.

You can sand blast it just not with sand. Use a different media like silcon beads or wall nut shells. If its not a show car then why bother cleaning it, if its a daily then its suposed to get gritty and grimmy.

Yea a sleve to make the post thicker, thats what I need. Im gonna try some local shops to see what they have, but if not I'll have to mod them so they can fit.

why are the battery posts so damn skinny? I just tried two different styles (stinger and monster) and they dont fit. Which ones do I need?

To fix minor rust spots and dings you need to sand down to bare metal and bondo it. Yo can use the factory color as a base coat, just wet sand it with 600 and clean it with thinner and your ready to spray.
