  1. So, I've just been playing around with Google SketchUp since I know how to use it now... And, I put in the maximum dimensions for a box in my Blazer (as calculated by some others on the forum...) Anyway, max dim: 38x36x17 38 between the wheels wells, 36 from seat to hatch, and 17 to window line... Anyway, I just played around with a design for a box for 2 18"s... I got the shape/design I want, but now I need you guys to help me with the technical stuff... I have no idea how much air space 2 18"s would need, or any of that. If it matters, they would be DC LVL4 18" subs. Anyway, here's what I have: Is there enough air space for them? (Or too much?) If its not enough, I guess I'll just scratch it. If you would like to redesign it to make it work, it would be much appreciated. Here's the SketchUp file, if you want to help. http://rapidshare.com/files/285496305/2-18s.skp Thanks! also, if necessary, the 38x9x17 area could be closed off, for less air space, but again, I don't know how much they need...
  2. Maybe ISP is fucking with you, and blocked the site you go to the most... haha
  3. Sorry to bump this old thread. Dad's been driving the Blazer to work, so its not here for me to measure. Can someone give me the measurement from the floor (in the cargo area) to the top of the back seat? (seat, not the headrest) Thanks
  4. He's not dead... This is his youtube. http://www.youtube.com/user/BigMastadon And his most recent activity (YouTube, not real life, no telling when that was.) was 3 weeks ago. So unless we died since then, he's not dead...
  5. If your burning cds, WMP works fine, but iTunes is better for it. But for other types of files and such, use the other suggestions.
  6. Yall heard of Everyday Process? Christian rap. They just released (or are releasing soon...) a new album "Outtadis World" I just got it earlier today. I can't remember when the street release date is, but it good!
  7. Have you heard the new Skillet cd yet? I don't even know when the release date is, I just... obtained it the other day. Just looked it up. It came out August 25.
  8. lmao, that reminds me of this. And here's Luda's version
  9. if it is Windows 7, I'm pretty sure all the Beta activation codes were scheduled to expire August 30, so that would be problem there.
  10. What are you converting from? (What file type) use Videora ipod converter. Hold on, I'll get you an indepth tutorial in a sec. It's not hard, you just have to change some settings. Here's the tutorial: http://www.videora.com/en-us/Converter/iPo.../video-to-ipod/ And just click "Download" on the right side of that page to get Videora.
  11. I went ahead and re-upped it for you on Rapidshare and MediaFire. So, once the 14 days are up, its still available. MediaFire RapidShare
  12. repost. I think. I know I saw it some forum, and I'm pretty sure it was this one.
  13. I guess it would have made sense, if I didn't leave out the first thing he told me... The first thing he said was "You can fit 4 15"s in there, no problem." I have half joking. But I might do 4 12"s or 2 15"s sometime... Which would be louder?
  14. :/ I was just talking to my brother, and he shot down all of my ideas... haa. Anyway, I told him I would be building my own ported box in the future, and he said "Don't do ported, the boxes are twice as big, and cost more. And don't build your own, just buy a prefab sealed one, its just as loud and sounds the same too." I told him that building my own ported one and tuning it would be way better, and he asked where I heard that, I said from one of the biggest car audio forums out there, pretty much dedicated to bass. And his response to that was "Oh, don't believe the stuff on the internet, trust me." This is coming from my brother, who has never had experience with ported boxes or building boxes, so he doesn't actually KNOW what sounds better, his mind is more on the "Save time, sacrifice money if necessary." I told him I would be putting DC audio subs in at some point, and he shot it down saying "Oh that's an off-brand, get something good like Kicker or JL." Just thought I would put that out there. However, I still plan on building my own in the future with 2 (maybe 3 just to show him up...) 12" DCs, so don't worry. Hell, maybe if I feel like showing him what sounds better, I'll make 4 15"s fit in it. Think I could fit 4 15"s in a Blazer?
  15. It's for a movie called 2012 http://www.whowillsurvive2012.com/
  16. It will probably be at least a year before I get the DCs.
  17. Right, didn't say that, these prefab boxes are sealed. :/
  18. Did that break the screen, or the casing covering the screen? Or both?
  19. I just got my Blazer (thead here), and I need some bass... Right now, it has an Alpine headunit. It's ok for what it is, but would rather have a different one with a USB plug. My brother has a Kenwood HU that has a USB that he MIGHT let me use, not sure yet. The Alpine has a 12 disk changer hooked to it. Anyway, here's the Alpine: Here's the disk changer: For subs, I plan on getting 1 or 2 cheap 12" subs (until I can afford some Level 2 DC's) And I have 3 options in mind. Option 1: Option 2: Option 3: Also, the amp, and placement will be determined later... So, any suggestions on what cheap amp/subs to get for now? And which option to go with? I would put 2 boxes side by side against the seat, but they won't fit, that's why I plan on building a box when I get the DC's (whenever that may be...)
  20. Does your state requite front license plates? They do in VA. And I hate it. Every year when we go on vacation down to Nags Head, we're like the only people with a front license plate... haha. I think cars just looks wayyyy cleaner without front plates.. So yeah, does your state require them?
  21. It has 138,060 miles on it. Here's the damage on the seat. It doesn't look as bad in the picture, but its noticeable. I don't know if I said it or not, but there's a busted place on the console, so here's a pic of that. (Click here, big pic.) I took a picture of the radio that's in it, but it erased itself... wtf. Anyway, here's the Alpine 12 disk changer in the back. (Click here, big pic) And lastly, here's what I want to do to the seats. Kind of. The middle would be more of the color on the body, but I couldn't really get that. The black lines were just to help me shading it, they wouldn't be black on the final product. (I forgot to shade the little place on the other side of the seatbelt at the bottom right.) In case your wondering why I included that last one, I'm on a Blazer forum, and I said something about possibly reupholstering the seats, and they asked how, so I did a quick photoshop.
  22. It's not just like a bunch of tracks thrown on a cd. It's popular songs out right now, and they all have intros, and I'm pretty sure they are made specifically for Best Buy, but not each individual store.
