true A buddy of mine was like my sub wont even play no output what so ever,after taking 3mins and looking at it well the sub output on the H/U was off . So yeah check that too!

it either wires 1 ohm or 4 ohm dual 2 cannot be wired to 2 ohm. how ever connect all + and all negatives together and plug that way. if you have by accident plugged a - and a + together the sub will not play and is shorting out!

is it a dual 2 or dual 1 ohm sub ? nvm dual 2 you cannot wire to 2 ohm its either 1 ohm or 4 ohm

well I am very curious though . considering the american bass vfl150.1 and the hifonics bxi2200d shared the exact same internals. vfl150.1 was rated 2900RMS hifonics bxi 2200D was rated 2200RMS but exact same boards

I heard from some that the Hifonics BXi 2610D & the AQ2200D have the same guts. does anyone know if thats true ?

Actually.... Its not that much cone area difference. and its all preference really. It all depends but that 15 would be better in about 4 cu ft . if space is an issue do the 2 12's. Two 12" = 226.19 One 15" = 176.71 Three 10" = 235.62

check grounds. Alot of people make the mistake of just finding somewere to ground it and do so. just make sure were ever you grounded it that you sanded it to metal and so forth. and as someone else stated make sure the grounds are not lose.

Level 4 w/ lvl 5 coils ? why not just get the XL's and besides a 30 second burp ? coils heat up quick and impediance rise are gonna be a factor after the first 10 seconds w/ lvl 4's . just get the XL's you will be alot happier. and btw you better have damn good electrical to back up that .25 ohm load .

he could have it wrong .. if wiring in series he could have one coil wired wrong . thats what I am saying instead of hot to hot and ground to ground he could have it hot to ground ground to hot ... get it ? in a hurry and plug & play and accidentley wires backwards on 2nd coil when jumping ....

lol see if the coils are wired wrong..... it completely wrong seen that happen before . you could have it wired hot to ground by accident. just check. if so your shorting it out.

yeah its all different but its all through trial and error ! you never know until you try .... live and learn its all the same. there is nothing such as the perfect box or the perfect port. but its all worth a shot

well facts are ...FOR ME it was at least a 2- 3 db gain just in messin with the box until i had it right ! I use to do large ports for 12's and 3 10's back in the day. but tbh with ya when i was just browsing and ran across the design i figured i would give it a shot and see what happens .. yeah shit happened ok ... i was like

I never said it was better . I do know they work different for sure .i went through 2 builds and some corrections before i was finally satisfied !but i was just telling him to try that kind of box and port. less space alot of power ='s more sub control and lower frequencies and I would almost bet it would be cleaner and louder if he just gave it a shot ! we live and learn you never know until you try!
