  1. That's it, I'm buying me some of those. But not from that guy. From parts express.
  2. That's hard to say. Depends on RMS power per sub, enclousure size, dimensions, etc.
  3. Even a single strand of wire touching both the + and - can cause arcing. Check to make sure their are no stray strands.
  4. 1 ported is the equivalent of 2 sealed (in a certain sense). In some cases (with a properly built enclosure and the right tuning) 1 ported is louder than 2 sealed.
  5. Muh bad, got confused. Sorry. Just out of idle curiosity, how many CFM are the fans rated at?
  6. If you only run 1 sub, and they're recommeded for 4 cubed ported, then go for it. You just have to remember that a port takes up space and so does the sub.
  7. That'd be a good idea. IIRC, that amp puts out 3300 watts with a steady 14 volts.
  8. Do 4 layers of 3/4 MDF. Should just barely hold together when done right.
  9. Find some vids of each and show him how much better they are...? Maybe...
  10. The tuning frequency has a lot to do with how it sounds.
  11. ... (What else can I say?) ... (Seriously, there are no words to describe how awesome that is)
  12. 18" FI BTL (x10) D.A.T. Inferno 8.1 (x3) Or RF T4K (x5). Should run you around $40-50,000. Not counting wire, alts, batts, wood, etc...
  13. Sounds like a fun weekend... NOT! What'd you do? Or, supposedly do? J/K. Seriously, what did the guys they were after do? <--- Seriously.
  14. No such thing. Well, unless you have them custom built by a company. But then they would probably charge you $300,000 a sub...
  15. I just gave my Honest Opinion. I do respect your opinion, but I believe AMD would be better. I have used both and AMD is the better budget chip. Intel is good if you have money to spend (Hell, I wish I could afford a high end Intel chip, I would love it), and he said he was trying to keep within a budget.
  16. EDIT: Nevermind. Every time I give my honest opinion about computers, I get flamed.
  17. Oh, for some reason I though it was a T1500. My bad. I fail at reading... But if he drove the amp into clipping, it could blow the fuse. Not likely, but maybe.
  18. So the fuse on the amp blew... How did you set the gains? By DMM, O-scope, or by ear?
  19. On the amp or inline? And 150 is a bit small considering those Rockford amps do about 2000 RMS. What size power wire are you running?
  20. I agree with everyone else, move. FAST!
  21. Is it blowing fuses on the amp or on the inline power wire on going to the amp?
  22. Darken them a little. Not much, maybe use 35% tint or equivalent.
  23. I would connect them both to the same location, but it shouldn't matter. I may be wrong though. Just ground them to the same location just in case.
