My 1997 Neon Highline. Got a SIC deal on this Traded as Netbook and 200.00 cash. The previous owner is a great friend of mine and I have the car they had before this one in my driveway too . He was asking 1,000.00 before he smashed his wife's laptop a couple days ago Pics are after a lot of cleaning, It was covered in tree sap. some FAG thought that spray painting the interior pieces would be cool, Wouldn't look too bad id the paint wasn't flaking off. Ill be going to get a some parts from the junk yard. I have 4 new tires for it too but I'm in no hurry to have them put on.

I just bought theses and installed them last night. I drove about 20 Miles last night just to listen to them they sound great. I installed them in my front doors where my Alpine SPS-600C used to be. I have the Tweeter on -2 and I powering them with a RF T1000-4. Now my front doors easily keep up with my rear deck 2 pair of Alpine SPS-600c's and the R's have a much better sound. More "mid" to them. Sound more natural instead of the S's overpowering 'High'. For 6.5's the Type R's are really doing a lot of midbass. The 2 R's have more than my 4 S 6.5's. The price is a little high at 279.99 retail. My cost was was a great price though. I'm sure they will be available on the web for a lot cheaper too. I listen to mostly rap, I really like them. They sound so good that I am pulling all the S's from the rear deck to run the R's once I have the extra money. They look pretty good too

The GM 3800 is VERY capable, Smaller pulley with a GOOD Tune, Intake, exhaust, 1.9 Rockers, injectors, LOTS of mods. My Impala has the N/A 3800 and its quick. I want to top swap it -

Alpine Type-R 12 or RE Audio SRX12
97SSBlazer replied to Grey_Fox's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
I work at a shop, we install Type R's all the time. I really like them. Great price point, capable of getting loud and good sound quality when used properly. Im in the process of installing 5 12's in my Impala -
manual is wrong. talk to Ray or James on here. i remember one of them saying that the 12's like 2.5cuft a piece or something a long the lines of that. i'd trust them over some piece of paper. also, the manual states that the port needs to have like 9sqin of port per cubic foot or some bullshit like that. you honestly think thats right? edit: oh and btw, before a mod tells you this, your sig picture is far too wide. The manual wants 15^2 each, I know thats not much but I build boxes all the time to that and they sound good. Like I stated above I have built 2 other cars both with 4 12's using this formula and both with great results. My buddy has 4 R's on 1 T1500-bd @ 1800 watts and hits 143.6 so thats pretty good Id like to to 145 but who knows. I get them cheap so maybe after this coming show I will build a BIG box for 2 of them and see how it works. Its just MDF so why not play?

The type R only want 1 to 2 cubes each which helps. They will be at 1.4 Each. I am using my spare tire well for batts, wire, fuses, and all other acc. Amps are on the back of the seat, and an amp rack that bolts to the sub box. what are you talking about? type r's like huge boxes...normal people run them at 2-2.5 cubes net per. The manual suggests 1 to 2 GROSS. Im not saying they cant go bigger.... I will be running mine at 1.4 net/ 1.7 Gross. I will be slighly over powering them so I didnt want a huge box....
