  1. I got my girlfriend this one for Christmas 2 years ago. She loved it then and loves it now. http://www.kay.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product1%7C10101%7C10001%7C-1%7C22060204%7C15064%7C15064.15121.17106 I also looked at this one when I was buying her the other one: http://www.kay.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/product1%7C10101%7C10001%7C-1%7C22323505%7C15064%7C15064.15121.17106 The first one's a bit more expensive, but for me it was totally worth the extra money to get her the one I thought was right. I hope this helps!
  2. Hey hey whats up Harrisye! Welcome to SMD! I love these random 1st-time posts in non-related threads.
  3. If your clipping light is going off, your audio signal is clipping, either because the song is clipped or because your gains are too high. Clipping happens when you try to push too much power out of your amp. This diagram helps explain it: The wave on the left is a sine wave, which is what a clean signal looks like with a o-scope. The wave on the right is a clipped wave. The dotted line shows where the wave WOULD be if the amp was capable of putting out a wave that strong, but due to the RMS voltage, it limits the power output of the amp, meaning the crests of the waves are "clipped" off. This can be really bad for both your subs and amp. If your BTL isn't happy on the 2200d, clipping it won't make it any happier. I suggest upgrading your amp. Meade ran his BTL's on 2 2500's each IIRC, so you should be fine with an amp upgrade.
  4. I'm a little confused by this box. What shape is it? I downloaded the model and looked at it and it's got all sorts of crazy angles going everywhere. Draw up a picture of it on paper or in paint/photoshop and I'll try to make a cleaner model for you.
  5. Lol, you just gave me entertainment for the next 2 months by posting a link to his profile in there. Also, message the guy like styleone said. Be mature about it, don't act like you're e-raging. No swears, no threats, just tell him to kindly back the fuck off. Actually you can swear. It gets the point across better. Have your girlfriend de-friend him and block him from viewing her profile all together (under Privacy settings). You can either confront him about it or ignore him. I suggest doing the message first and then doing the ignore/block part if he doesn't leave her alone.
  6. 1) From what I've gathered through Google searching this dude, Tom Slick is the guy who punched the shit outta Pinky on that bus. If you dont know what I'm talking about, Google "Epic Beard Man." 2) Where did you learn he was put in an oven? 3) ^^^ This post wins. Period.
  7. Lol, better get used to having some flex. I see a lot more coming in your future.
  8. Dear god that is a hell of a box. Looks strong as fuck. I can't wait to hear how it sounds!
  9. We could always start by the OP letting us know what model their amp is. Although I DO like the idea of the Xplod's powering the amp. LOL
  10. That's Google Chrome's built-in spell check. I use Chrome as my default browser, and I love it. It's a bit more of a memory hog than Firefox if you've got lots of tabs open, but that's simply because it makes each individual tab into a different process, which I think is a better idea. If one tab dies, the browser can just shut down that tab and the others keep going unaffected, unlike Firefox which shuts down the whole browser. But that spell check is the reason I never have spelling errors in my posts. XD
  11. I don't even know but I'm gonna go download lots of movies now. I know they restrict upload speeds here as to deter torrenting, which they had a huge issue with a year or 2 ago. That's why it's kinda capped around 5 MBps or so.
  12. HOLY FAWK! I'm on campus today but we're on break. I'm heading home tonight. I saw this and decided to test it myself. Virtually nobody's on campus so I've got all the bandwidth to myself!
  13. Absolute beast. When he got about halfway and stopped, I was like "oh no!" But then he kept it going somehow. Props to that guy. That was quite a gamble.
  14. Q-Logic Kick Panels for Acura TL
  15. Check out THIS PAGE on Crutchfield.com. I looked up some goodness on your 1998 Acura 3.2 TL and here's what it came up with: In-dash stereo 7-15/16" depth; Size code DD,E Front speakers Dash: Tweeter factory speaker note Front Door: 6-1/2" Rear speakers Rear Deck: 6x9" You'll want to find speakers that will fit in the spot of the existing ones. For $300-$400, you should be able to get a solid front stage with an amp. I'll go right ahead and suggest getting a component set and not coaxials, based a little bit on personal experience and a lot on what I've read.
  16. Xbox.xom -> Support -> Register a Console -> Repair a Console Should be a free repair for the RRoD. It's a known issue. Even if it's not under warranty, should be free. If they say it's not free, call 1-800-4-MY-XBOX and talk to a customer service rep. I've had the RRoD on 2 consoles i owned and they were both free repairs. Just do it the legit way and don't do the stupid towel trick. It'll work for a week tops and in that time you could have had it shipped out and halfway back. They give you a free 1-month card for LIVE as well.
  17. WTF is this? Canadians don't have power tools! Don't you guys have igloos and stuff? There's no electricity up there. LOL jk man. Looks good! Also looks like someone knows their shit. Posted his equipment and box specs right up front. Even put the cut sheet details! Can't wait to see how this turns out.
  18. Sweet. Didn't see this before I posted. A good hypothesis would have some sort of variable you would change, like the voltage or their shape or something. Without a changing variable, it's not really a true experiment. I'm not sure if it's THAT important for a 5th grader to have independent and dependent variables in their science fair project though. Just testing which ones conduct may be good enough.
  19. Hypothesises (Hypothesys?) are usually just a one-sentence statement, but are usually followed by a little explaination. EXAMPLE: If I stick a fork into a wall socket, I will get electrocuted (don't try this at home) The point of an experiment is NOT to prove your hypothesis, but to test it. The hypothesis is just the basis for your experiment. So, if I stuck a fork in a wall socket and didn't get electrocuted, it wasn't a failed experiment, because I now know something else about the relation between sticking a fork in a wall socket and getting electrocuted. I know that's kinda a pretty simple definition. If you want a really complete definition, check out Wikipedia.
  20. There it is. I was waiting for someone with more expertise. HHR knows his shit. TY for cleaning up my post
