Remove the rear speakers...if you have a good front setup you don't need them anyway. Removing them will allow air to flow into the cabin through their openings

Are these things tuned at a specific frequency? I know they get low as hell... I don't have the single, I have the Dual for W3's, made in 2004 I believe. You originally said you want to pay $300 for sub, amp & install. Now you are saying $300 for just an amp. Which is it? Are you looking for 1 or 2 subs? Are you making your own box? If not I would suggest getting the two Kicker CVRs preloaded in the ported Kicker box, I think Crutchfield sells it. Its gonna want 800rms so you need an amp that will do that at either 1 or 2 ohms depending on what amp you get. If you don't make the box yourself it will be expensive to have one made for you.

Yeah I've never broken subs in and I've had no problems, I used to own CVRs too. That amp probably does like what 900-1000rms. So that's a perfect amount since you always want a little more power on hand so you don't stress the amp trying to make the power, but if the amp isn't set correctly then you will have problems. What are your amp and HU settings?

Do you just mean the trunk? You have a nice luxury car, mine is somewhat similar, a 99 Caddy STS and under the trunk lid is a nice big pad of foam or something that came stock with the car, IDK if yours has this too but this prevents my trunk from even flexing, it barely moves compared to my last cars (88 Buick, 91 Caprice).
