  1. you have 3-180 amp alts right? If so, I would do a single 0g (+ and -) from each to a single front battery. I would do 2 0g from engine block to frame (chassis). From the front battery I would do 2 runs of each (+ and -) to back batteries. There is no reason at all to keep anything separated in your case since everything is running off the same voltage. That's just what I would do.
  2. haha to late. how come? I was being sarcastic, we can't help you without that information.
  3. whatever you do, make sure you don't mention what kind of amp you have.
  4. I very much doubt it has anything to do with the gauge wire you are running for your remote wire, unless you are running something ridiculous. There is no need for 2 runs of 12 gauge remote wire for 2 amps. Does your amp say on when the sound shuts down? What is your source of +12v for your remote wire?
  5. I computer froze my fault. But as far as the other post I will need the subs to be dual 2? depends on the amp and subs...
  6. if you set your gain (with an oscope) at the bass boost frequency and the bass boost all the way up, then you shouldn't have any clipping problems. However, your system will peak around that particular frequency and usually doesn't sound all that great. It is great for single note systems, not so much for musical systems.
  7. lol @ just cutting a whole in a sealed box for a port..but that's not a bad # for a box probably too small with a port tuned to like 80 if it had no depth lol Haha,no sorry I didn't explain it very well. I put a port in the box. What I meant was the box was never designed to have a port, so I just cut a hole and stuck some PVC pipe in it. 3" about 11" long or so, tuned to about 35hz. It is totally rigged up and ghetto looking (at the port spot) and I will be rebuilding this summer for 2 level2s. THe box has no 45s and the port is too close to the back wall, which is probably raising the tuning some. Cu ft of the box is pretty spot on, it isn't small.
  8. my single lvl 2 12 did a 131 in a box made for another sub was originally a sealed box for a JL, the cut a hole in it and slapped the DC in there. I am hoping to get another level 2 this summer!
  9. they would if the amp is set up in 2 channel mode rather than 4 channel mode. I did that with mine the first time, front RCAs for mids/highs and rear RCAs for subs. Had the switch on my amp set to 2 channel input and the sub level knob wasn't working on teh 3sixty. It took me a second but I remembered I forgot to switch the amp to 4 channel input, did that and it worked.
  10. Does the amp have LED lights on the amp that show when a RCA cable is unplugged. But forget the question anyway...I know the answer. I would just make sure that the amp is set to accept 2 sets (front and rear) of RCA inputs. Make sure both sets of RCAs are working. Switch the around and play with your fader then.
  11. so you have 3 pairs or RCAs coming out of your HU right? WHen you fade to the rear all you hear is subs? When the fader is in the middle do you hear all speakers playing?
  12. Hang on you say you are running 4 Dual 1 ohm subs but you posted a pic of a wiring diagram for 2 dual 1s? he was going to do the wiring he pictured to 2 subs then parallel the pair, he was just confused on how series wiring works.
  13. what that picture doesn't show is the + and - are actually connected. A voice coil is a single circuit, the + terminal ends at the - terminal of the SAME voice coil.
  14. what do you mean how does it work? Do you want the theory on it?
  15. how do you build something that is already built? box specs? playing below tuning will bottom out your subs.
  16. yup, i love me so peas. the new album is fun, not great but fun to listen too.
