DC LVL 3s or Lvl 4s
Marlo Stanfield replied to joni13's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
IA Death Row or LI, AA Havoc or Chaos, FI SSD or Q, DD 2512, AB HD or XFL... All of those would fit in the category equally as well(compared to LVL3 or LVL4). I would have mentioned AQ SDCs also but I'm pretty sure they aren't in stock as of right now. -
DC LVL 3s or Lvl 4s
Marlo Stanfield replied to joni13's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
A box for 12s that is of that size if gonna be pretty inefficient, if u are planning to stay in the 2000w total power range then I'd suggest running LVL3s. If ur gonna upgrade in the not to distant future then just run LVL4s for the time being and when u add more power you'll see increased results in that size enclosure. Are u just stuck on DCs or will you look elsewhere for woofers?? -
Lvl 3 12" BoX????

How much power will u be running and what kind of music do u generally listen to?? -
how much time

I'm on alot at night when I'm home... Been on a bunch during the day recently since I took a couple week off of work to assist a family member who broke a leg. Been staying at my grandmother's house helping her with everything from cooking, cleaning, etc until she can get back to normal. I had 6 weeks of paid vacation, so I'm using like 3 weeks or so until she can move comfortably on her own. So after this week/early next week I'll be on less than I have been. -
Those are sum sick seats man... After we(Yankees) finish up this series, I'm flying back to NY because my family has game 1 + 2 tix. 6 Rows behind the home dugout, you get tix like that from both uncles having been season ticket holders for 31 years running. I've been to at least 2 games in every NYY world series since '96 and this will be the first year I didn't catch at least 1 game in the ALCS. Most fond memory was being 3 rows behind homeplate during the NYY/NYM World Series(got those because we're close friends w/ umpire Ed Rapuano) and worst memories were game 7 in the '01 series(hint - fuck Luis Gonzalez + Jay Bell)/ game 7 in '04 ALCS(fuck Red Sox). Best memory in a losing game - seeing Joel Zumaya throwing fastballs harder than I've ever seen(4 consecutive over 103mph).

broken into

For the most part, vehicles are very easy to break into.. Much more so than the general public understands, even with an alarm it's still quite easy to do so without setting the alarm off. -
MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN 10'S AND 12'S

First, that still didn't answer a single question I brought up to try to help u. Second, why would you change the tuning just because of the size of the woofer?? -
DC LVL 3s or Lvl 4s

Structures sentences might help next time to understand what you're attempting to say. I helped a teammate w/ a few different builds(with 12" LVL4s) and our best results with 1400w per woofer came around 2.4ft3 per woofer or so(+/- .1ft3). Without high amounts of power per woofer(2k+ per LVL4) we saw pretty poor results from boxes 2ft3 - 1.75ft3 per woofer. I highly doubt and have yet to see someone running 1.5ft3 per 12" LVL4 in a daily setup, unless they're running a big amount of power to them. Subs in smaller boxes tend to be more inefficient and take greater amount of power per woofer. This is the reason why if u run power on the lower end of the subs handling capabilities, then larger boxes tend to bring up efficiency of the sub and generally make it louder per watt. *There are always exceptions to this though* From what I've experienced through many years is the case which I just stated, but like I said there are exceptions to this though. -
MAJOR DIFFERENCES BETWEEN 10'S AND 12'S

Big difference would be the amount of cone area per woofer, hope that helps... *sarcasm* This is wayy to vague of a question to ask... What sub(s)/power/enclosure type/etc. -
DC LVL 3s or Lvl 4s
Marlo Stanfield replied to joni13's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Well how much exact power will u be running?? Up to 1000 watts I'd run LVL3s, anything over that I'd run LVL4s... Don't even know why u brought up LVL5s though, pretty much pointless to run them without at least 3k per woofer. What size subs though?? For 12s 1.9ft3 per sub isn't really too much and for 10s it's generally more than you'd want, unless you wanted to up the efficiency and were running lower power per woofer. -

If nothing is gone then it doesn't matter, just make sure to lock your vehicle from now on. Unless u have cameras at your school, then they won't really care if u say anything.
