Marlo Stanfield replied to DUBIE's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
In a trunk car I would never face subs/ports upwards. -
SUV vs Trunk
Marlo Stanfield replied to DUBIE's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
99.9% of trunk cars like sub(s)/port(s) firing either both towards rear or sealed off from the trunk firing into the cabin... Also big trunk cars are the hardest vehicles to get loud and SUV aren't lol. -

Marlo Stanfield replied to jagblazer01's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures

16 AA 10s Clamshell design help
Marlo Stanfield replied to jagblazer01's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
No that's not the diamond design at least I was talking about... The one I'm refering to is the one used in the Tommy Mckinnie's truck(Ho Problems), DJs new setup, the 2 12 18" sub setups(one by Sundown and AA), and many others have utilized the design. -
4 kicker L7's in a cprice
Marlo Stanfield replied to Brandon15zzz's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
For 4 15" L7s anywhere from 1000-1250w per woofer would work perfectly. Do you have an electrical system capable of backing up 4-5k watts daily?? -
This may turn into a big LOL... It can be run @ 1ohm, but it is somewhat risky because then the 2 amps in the case will be seeing .5ohm each bridged to 1ohm final load. Look at the manual for the actual ratings ^^^

16 AA 10s Clamshell design help
Marlo Stanfield replied to jagblazer01's topic in Subwoofers / Enclosures
Check out pictures of Neil Barber's last 2 setps and in my big build coming up(8 15s or 16 12s) I'll be doing a clamshell very similar to his. You also could do a diamond w/ 4 woofers on each wall. -
How dare you make a thread like this without pics of the woofer, congrats on the sub thouhg. What are you gonna be powering this with??

running 0 gauge
Marlo Stanfield replied to DEEz NUTz's topic in Electrical-battery- Alternators- Wiring
Mine is under the carpet, but has been there for like 2+ years now... I pulled out the seats/carpet because i used to have multiple runs to the back and it would have been impossible to get them in with everything in place. But for the most part you can install it will the entire interior in place, only thing is you'll more than likely have to pop off a couple trim panels to hide the wire. Also can wire under the vehicle, but just need to be sure that you have enough covering to withstand heat and sum abuse from everyday driving. -
doing a wall with 4-lvl4xl 18"s
Marlo Stanfield replied to edog's topic in DC Sound Lab - Big Bass on ANOTHER LEVEL!
Port does seem on the small side for 4 18s walled in that size enclosure. -
Quick off topic - Wanna come visit South Florida just after the new year?? lol... If i have leftover money after products I'd be more than happy to have a hand with building my "big" setup coming soon. Doing 16 12s or 8 15s off 16-20k with only help from friends who aren't the most intelligent with wood working or installing. I'll show you what Ft. Lauderdale, Miami, and the Keys are made of lol.

Soo i went for a little test drive today and I won't be the new owner by any means... There is an obvious problem with the engine of some sort(who knows w/ the rotary engine) and the tranny is doomed to fail in the near future. So the money i made on my 300zx will now be going into a BIG buildup this winter, got like $8-9k to play with after i pay off sum bills. Plus i already have a decent electrical system and I do all the labor myself. Any ideas guys for something to do in my expo??
