i own a 2000 blazer tried multiple boxes subs up port back works best for me.

cadence will be what alot of people on here will tell you because they have been around for a while but i know someone that has 2-12" quantum subs on a memphis mojo 2000d doing a 145db @31hz.

i love thes dc sub videos but the tearing of the surrounds has stopped me from buying them so when i seen that thor went to high roll surrounds i thought yes now i can get my level 5 12''s im high roll then he tore his new surrounds so im thinking hes overpowering them and now i see your post 1500 watts on a pair of level 3's i wont be ordering mine till this issue is resolved just hope my subs can hold out that long. dc rubber surrounds problem solved!!!

i have 2 of the 1610d's on 2-12''s in my blazer they never get hot i run them @ 1ohm and pound them hard for long periods of time i bought them because they were cheap and my budget was low i would think you might be better off with something with a little more power though. my vid of the 2-1610d's on 2-12''s is in my sig the amps do good but i have 2-saz3500d's that will replace the 2-bxi1610d's within the next month.

thats what i was doing i was testing to see if i could get a gain my shrinking my box without building a new box so i would have room to mount my 2-saz3500d's my blazer seems to like 48hz . i will be able to remove enough of my box to install amps and my batts .this will hold me over till the weather changes and a complete rebuild will take place .

its not port x pi i think you forgot radius is squared radius square x pi example 4'' aero radius is 2 so 2 x 2=4 4x3.14=12.56 6''port has 3'' radius so 3x3=9 9x3.14=28.26

i wanted to see if i would gain with a smaller box with the same port size so i thought about it and came up with this i went to the hardware store and bought 8 solid blocks cement and covered them with duct tape so no dust could get in my coils each block takes up .25 cubic feet and my im tuned @44hz and i know but putting block in the box my tuning will rise so i thought thats cool may hit my resonant frequency this way so i put 2 blocks in the box got a .1db gain@44hz so far so good put 2 more block my total gain with the 4 block is .4db@45hz from my baseline adding more block raised my frequency but had no gain i think this was because i ended up with to much port per cubic foot of box at this point. but was an easy .4db gain and the block was 1.35 each and with a freq change of only 1hz thought id share maybe someone else could have the same luck!!

if i was going to be burping or limited to 1 battery northstar is what i would buy but this will be a daily driver as well as for burps so i need a fast dicharge rate and a good reserve and both these companies produce great batteries and the prices are resonable .

i heard that to but its just a rumor . no matter what ill be buying im sure there will be a better battery next year so ill be buying new again for the 2011 season.

4 khc3800 or d3100 which would be better and why if you had to choose ? and these where your ONLY choices.

xs power d3100 or kinetik khc3800 which is better i heard the d3100 is good for 5000watts but the khc3800 is only 3800watts but the d3100 110ah and the khc3800 is 134ah which is better for these amps? ive got a khc1400 under the hood already. i need a head to head comparison .thanks

just a couple old 12''s for now then maybe 4-sa12''s later ive got 2 of the 15-m3mojo12''s the 2000watt 12''s by memphis the amps im running right now is 2-1610d's by hifonics and does a 148.9 with drivers window down and i tested a soundstream xxx10,000d @ 2ohm and done a 150.1 with window down all reading was with tl mic on windshield db drag style now with the new amps im changing the box so i can get some better numbers on the meter hopefully i can start a build log . box peaks @ 44hz http://s843.photobucket.com/albums/zz353/neonman1995/
