My buddy had the same problem granted it wasnt a ford, but it was because he didnt have the right fuel pump. they gave him a shorter one when he neded the longer one once he got that replaced it didnt do it when the gas got low. id say replace the fuel pump and see if that helps yah. Hopefully it isnt a $300+ fuel pump though those things are always expensive.

Any HU that has 4v or better pre outs, i've owned a kenwood deck and liked it now im on a Pioneer 5v pres 16band EQ BT all the goodies built in only thing i dont like is u cant turn the decks amp off which with kenwood (or the one i had) you could. id say get a kenwood like the 794, unless u want built-in bluetooth which is nice and saves you from getting a ticket in some states (handsfree).

For you to get loud you have to have the power and the capability to supply that power with enough power to keep your power up. Know what i mean man. Alts are anywhere from 250-500 bucks And good batterys are above 200 unless u can find someone with them forsale on the cheap. Thats just something to think about before you go BIG but if you wanted a modest system im sure you would be more than happy with it.

Realize, yea you can get subs and be loud but you also want to be able to hear the music still without the sub or subs drowning out the vocals cause then it just sounds like garbage. If you want to go big and you have no experience with something big i'd try to find someone to help you out locally or find a professional shop to build what you want.

It depends on what sub ur running, some companys do not recommend putting their product(sub) in sealed boxes and some u can do either a sealed or ported.

it doesnt mean only used for spl though, the alumis can be used for just regular listening too im pretty sure, the alumis can just handle a bit more power and seem better suited for spl applications yes. EDIT: My buddy has 1 18 amluminum coil HDC3 and called and talked to them before he bought it, and they said nothing about not being able to use it in a daily set up.
