AH means nothing in car audio. AH is low amperage pulls for long periods of time. The D1200 will give you 1500watts of power as a starting battery for daily use and 3000 watts of power as a secondary battery for daily use. If you are going to compete or be doing demos, then you will want a bigger battery to help make up for the lack of alternator power.

16V is going to outperform 12V all day long if the amps will take the higher voltage. The 16V do not have the capacity that the D3100 have, because they are about half the size. 1500watts per 16V for competition use is what you can count on.

Same performance as the D1600. Just a different case that doesn't have all the reinforcement on the sides that the D1600 has. Size, weight, performance, and everything else is the same. There really is no way to compare it to the D3100, since the D3100 is a 12V battery that is about twice the size as the XP1000.

No need to change your alt unless you want more amperage to meet the needs of your system.

1 D3100 will give you more power than 2 D1200, but 2 D1200 are more powerful than 1 D3400.

As said above the D6500 is the direct replacement battery, but others have gotten larger batteries to fit with little to no modification. If you are not going to hook up your cables with ring terminals, then you will also need a set of 580 or 586 brass posts.

What is your expectations of effectively? Are you talking with no voltage drop or mid 12V or something else? Is this for daily use or for competition use? For daily use the D3400 as a starting battery will give you power for 2500watts and a D1200 as a secondary battery will give you power for 3000 watts.

Good point. Just went out and checked it on three separate 30 second pulls. The first pull it was right on the money up until about 20 seconds in and then was about a tenth difference difference from the battery to the load tester. Second 30 second pull was from 1 tenth to 2 tenths difference, and 3rd pull was 2 to 3 tenths difference. As the wires got heated up the resistance got higher. So the second battery and the D3100 were actually about 2 to 3 tenths higher each at the battery.

Just a simple load test comparison of the D3100 and a couple other Group 31 batteries. I am sure we should have done many things differently and I am sure we will hear about it, but people ask for comparison videos and here you go. Approx 500 amp load for 30 seconds.

The citation will have a link on it that you can go and watch the video of the infraction. It will show a few seconds before you get to the intersection to a few seconds after you finish your turn. If you did come to a complete stop, then you may never get the citation. There is a police officer that has to set and watch all of the infractions and then sign off on the citation. So, if the officer watches the video and you came to a complete stop, then you will probably never get anything in the mail. If you didn't come to a complete stop, then you will have a nice little City of Where Ever donation envelope coming to you. The camera citations do not go on your driving record, so you just pay the fine and its over. Here in TN it is $75.00. Let's just say I have had an experience or two with these red light cameras............lol

If you are charging all of your batteries at the same time, then the amperage would be divided out across all of the batteries.

You can use any AGM compatible battery charger as long as the charger output specifications meets that of the battery instructions that come with your XS Power battery. It is also important to make sure that when you are using AGM type batteries that you keep the ambient temperature around the battery in control. 14.4V and 15amps is optimal charge rate. •It is very important that proper charging techniques be used when charging XS Power batteries. XS Power batteries are designed for use with the XS Power battery chargers with a MAXIMUM output voltage of 2.4 volts per cell (14.4v for 12v batteries, 16.8V for 14v batteries, and 19.2v for 16v batteries). AT NO TIME during charging should the battery be subjected to more than 2.4 volts per cell. Voltages above this will cause the battery to "gas" and once the oxygen is vented it cannot be restored. •Under-charging XS Power batteries is equally damaging to the life of the battery. Take special care to ensure that the battery is properly charged before the initial use by verifying the open circuit voltage is above 2.1 volts per cell (12.6 for 12v batteries, 14.6 for 14V batteries, and 16.8 for 16v batteries). Improper charging can cause damage that is permanent and will VOID THE WARRANTY.

If the battery is sitting above 12.6V you can install it in the vehicle. Of course it is better to charge it up with a charger first.

Optimal charge rate is 14.4V and 15amps. Just make sure it doesn't charge at too high of a voltage.
