If you replaced your stock ground, make sure it didn't have a plastic piece that was around the ground cable. Some vehicles have sensors in place around the cables and if that sensor is not there, then it is basically breaking a protection circuit built into the vehicles stock electrical system. This can mess up your electrical because the vehicle isn't able to get a full electrical reading. Also check and see what the voltage is coming off of the alternator under the hood and at the battery in the back.

Any time you can top off the batteries with a good charge it only prolongs the life and increases the performance of the batteries.

2 D975 would work fine. Just giving up a little reserve capacity, but that would be enough for your system.

Just looked and if www.audiosavings.com doesn't have it in stock then I would check with www.summitracing.com and order the S1200. Same exact battery but just has red decals and comes with posts.

It will charge at too high of a voltage and will end up venting your batteries.

As long as it is an AGM charger. Max charge voltage is 14.4V and 15amps (per battery).

First I would find someone local to help you with the install. Never hurts to have someone that knows what they are doing there to teach you first hand. Install is easy if you have the brackets for the alternators. Alternator outputs will run to your battery bank and batteries will be hooked up positive to positive and negative to negative. You can get away with one alternator, but two will make the system a lot more solid. Depending on cost 250amp alternators are usually the better value. No such thing as having to much battery or alternator power.

I personally would put the 3400 in there with the stock battery and run them as long as you can. This will save you the cost of another 3400 right now and should work fine for you for a while.

If you are resting at 12V you do not have a bad cell especially if they are still hooked up in the vehicle. Like the others said a top off charge will go a long way in extending the life of your batteries and increasing the performance.

Should be fine unless you wanted to go with another D3400 in the back instead of the D1200. Not a big jump in price from the 1200 to 3400, but there is a lot more reserve to pull from.

OK the reasons it is not a good idea is because a wet cell battery and AGM battery have different chemistry make ups. The AGM over time will pull the wet cell down. No way to know how long that will take, but it is not going to cause any damage to anything except for pulling down the front battery. There is NO reason to run an isolator in this type of application. Isolators should really only be used in installations where the system is going to be playing for periods of time with the vehicle off and running the batteries all the way down. Isolators are more commonly found in marine applications and off-road (winching) applications. AGM stands for Absorbed Glass Mat. The liquid inside the battery is absorbed into a mat (fabric type material) that surrounds the plates in each cell.

You are going to be around 6000 watts (guessing high) with your entire system. If you were to get 2 250amp alts and those batteries you would have TONS of power for that system and some back up reserve if you go bigger with your install.
