  1. audio mixing and mastering is kinda my thing had to learn it myself.. but i'm not really sure what you want me to do.. you want me to make a 37 second clip in the song "let it rock" .. i'm assuming by kevin rudolf? and what section of the song do you want for the 37 seconds?
  2. What's the best ones to get .. vs. cost? for example the knukonceptz KLMX wire isn't the absolute best super crazy wire on the market, but it's still very good for the price... that's the same kind of thing i'm looking for .. but for terminals. I'd need them to hold 1/0, 4, and 8 gauge. (preferably...) i'm not asking you guys to look for me or anything... just a question about which brand\model thanks in advance!
  3. Dimensions!!! just putting the box where the rear seats were will most likely make is quite a bit quieter, just to let you know. we need pics of this box you have .. plus how it's gonna sit in the car.. and the direction the port and sub will fire (up, back, forward, etc.) and ditch the capacitor...useless....compeletly useless..get 2 good batteries. for 2k RMS (rounding to be safe) you could do an XS Power D3100 up front and then a smaller batt in the back. also you need to do the big 3, it's mandatory.. and the HO alt plus those batteries will make your whole system rock solid voltage wise and you'll be safe... you mentioned it "cutting out" what exactly do you mean? like the amp is shutting off? that's scary... sounds like a baby alt + baby power wire + baby battery + crappy ground. as far as amps.. those subs are all SVC 4 ohms... so paralleled they would be at 1 ohm... the KAC-9104D is 1 ohm stable.. but only puts out 900rms at 1 ohm. so each sub would see 225w... and they're rated at 400 rms... so an amp upgrade is kind of necessary. i'd recommend the audioque 2200d... might be a little overkill for you.. but you could pick one up used. theyre $389 new and do 2200wrms @ 1 ohm. you could turn the gain down and have a super-clean signal to your subs... at 400wrms to each woofer. are you stuck on using those exact subs? and 4 12's in a accord.. you better draw on your creativity. i like the idea of a false floor though. do the seats fold down? and sorry for all the questions... i'm just trying to get you the best you can get. hit me back!
  4. ^^^ in my experience that's the right kind of glue to use. but i've never personally reconed a sub.. just been there to watch it happen.
  5. ]yeah.... in Derrick's cone area thread (stickied in the subwoofer\enclosure section) it shows you exactly that. depends on the woofer and power applied though. if you were talking like... 2 walmart pioneer 12s off of 300wrms vs. 1 Fi BTL 15 off of 2000wrms... yeah, the 15 will be louder. but that's a little too obvious, isn't it?
  6. i've never actually heard an aeroport setup. always wanted to, but no one around here really knows ... well really anything about box design. care to enlighten me .. vs. a standard square, slot or round ported box?
  7. i've "heard" good things about the T3 comps... you gonna run them off of HU power? that's not really gonna be enough. i really hope you didn't already answer that in this thread
  8. ^^^ typical high school kid story. i always love when kids come in to class and are like "dood i lyk totalli bloo my subs last nite" and i'm the only one surprised... thats why the underpowering=blown myth is always perpetuated.
  9. if you can't do it yourself... or don't have the patience, PM forevrbumpn .. i think he's in upper California.. but shipping might get ya
  10. yeah.. just somethin bout them ass dudes... they are very cool. lol jp man although mike singer is a legit motherfucker
  11. make sure you pick up a good video cam for teh yootoob as well
  12. x2 with Forum Asshole i thought i'd do these alpine type s coax just as a get-er-by now i'm stuck with them, i have to save up even more cash to get new mids\highs
  13. are there 1 or 2 terminals on the woofers? and is there a model number on the magnet or anything? or maybe an ohm rating? this will help us with amp suggestions.
  14. x2 on the ebonics going out of style.. i used to slur my stuff all over the place when i started... then i got sick of posting the lyrics up with my tracks so i just actually pronounced the words right.. turned out it sounds 1000x better
  15. lol i'm picking mine up pretty soon here ... gotta get started on my new build
  16. subs... Fi, RE, AA ... (my opinion) if you can maybe pick up two used Fi BLs you could run 2k RMS to them and they'd be beautiful.
  17. in order: RF, Sundown, AQ. (in my opinion)
  18. when are those funky pup jokes gonna die out? and man idk if you're gonna hit 2k rms with fi woofers for $500.
  19. you already bought that alpine mrp-m2000? if not.. i'd go with a different amp... less expensive... better sounding...
  20. damn you better do a really detailed buildlog... i have a 97 bonneville.. i'd love to wall it
  21. yeah, i'd recommend 4 gauge for the big three and a 4 gauge run to the back battery, and a 4 gauge ground to the frame. knukoncepts has cheap and good 4 gauge wiring, and terminals can be had for mad cheap on ebay. everyone solders their 1\0 gauge but i do it for all my terminals, and i'd recommend it to you to. you can follow the 1\0 tutorial that's stickied in this forum. if you can, drill through the floor of your truck and grind or clean a part of the frame, and ground the battery to that. make sure you put a rubber grommet on the opening where the wire comes through, though. run at least 8 gauge from the rear battery to the amp but i'd do 4 ... it's not like 8 feet of 4 gauge is that much more than 8 feet of 4 gauge. running good, solid and clean you should have 0 problems. make sure you report back and tell us how it went!
  22. yeah i remember spitting over this instrumental like.. a year ago?
  23. Don't fuck with Boon. He knows his shit and you will get pwned. Right in front of everyone.
