  1. you forget this isn't your site. so really, it'd be "take your questions elsewhere" learn to use the multiquote button welcome to the wonderful world of car audio. get used to it and 33Hz is a great place to start. as others have said it's preference. lower tuning = louder lows but quieter high Hz...
  2. i usually import into apple lossless for the pod hookup... sounds awesome... nothin like wicked speaker setups with high end amps and superlow THD ... and a 96k mp3 to destroy is all
  3. lol. old school rap is not 90s. old school went up till 84, then new school till bout 93, then it seemed like the west coast gangstas vs east rappers, till pac and biggie died... then it was kinda mellow for a bit... then around 2000-2003 its turned into what i call bling rap...
  4. gold and the xscorpion ones are good because you can attach a bunch of ring terminals to them... what car are they going in?
  5. in fact, it was your box, remember? but liars lie.
  6. yeah, i've got an 6x9 in a box tuned to 12Hz that my buddy upgraded for me... he was doing 187db with it ...AND the gains were only halfway up.
  7. lol.... kill babies. haven't heard that one yet Edit: now that i think about it.. my little brother did have tubes in his ears and i was playing my shit for him and it knocked one of the tubes out of his eardrum. so now he just has a hole in there. still works tho (?!) that's what the doctor said.
  8. if the voice coil moves due to the magnetic field changing (based on the magnet) what if the voice coil were not an electromagnet and the magnet were an electromagnet and it was energized to move the coil up and down?
  9. started my new job, making good $$ now... :D

  10. if you triple baffled it, the sub should be less into the box, increasing the box volume, therefore lowering the tuning.. unless i'm reading that wrong...
  11. With the right amount of money anything is possible
  12. The electrical setup in audio is what interests me the most usually... so lemme think... major in electrical engineering and business, and minor in accounting, and electives of welding, autobody, and upholstery... so $40000 later plus $20000 to get a shop started and rolling i should be all set. Time to apply for loans!
  13. i would go flash or iPod, you can't skip it if nothing's moving.
  14. You'd think they'd be pretty solid... most car electronics are...
  15. I've seen meade do it with a custom cardboard box, it was really thick IIRC, and he bent it at his work to make it fit exact.
  16. I too was a victim of Scosche wiring when I was first into audio. Drop it and get better stuff. I recommend Knukonceptz wire... most here will agree
  17. If i wanted a job dealing with car audio (probably own my own shop someday or something like that) what should i major or minor in in college? I mean.. besides getting my basic\advanced\master MECP...
  18. the fosgate power series IMO. and if you can, find a way to fit the 6.5" round into wherever you're putting them.
