  1. It could damage the sub. But yeah it's good you posted this, the best way to learn is by making mistakes and learning from them. Just never make the same mistake twice!
  2. The length isn't everything you need the right amount of port area for proper tuning. Edit: Area = LxWxH
  3. 145 seems a little hard to believe with your current set up.. Not tryin to be a dick.. Look into the sa series, great quality for the price.
  4. Yeah, we kinda need to know how much money you're working with. I'm surprised how many people on here are from Michigan and yet I don't hear much about competitions around here.
  5. Where did it happen? Maybe you can get some security footage and use that in a case to sue the fucker.
  6. As long as you have your filters set properly. I just use the built-in EQ in my deck and it sounds pretty good.
  7. Aiming them is key so if you do go with putting them under the seats I would fiberglass but do some tests with aiming them first to get the right sound. An easier alternative would be to put 2 in the door panels and 2 in the kicks, if its possible in your situation.
  8. I voted the coax's for sq, idk how they would sound from under the seat though.
  9. I think he means that sound you get in your ears when you have some high treble playing.. It happens mostly with rock, sounds/feels like someone is blowing into your ears.
  10. Is the trunk sealed off? I can't really tell from the vid.
  11. Put the close up on the dirt part in black and white and you have a recreation of the dust bowl.
  12. Why would somebody steal that? Sounds like they were just trying to be a dick... I feel ya on the hours though i just got mine cut to about 18. My advice.. get the hell outta michigan! Its like a 3rd world country here.. Im going to NC!
  13. The 7" rings fit perfect.. I was worried about the depth before i started but they fit flush
  14. I came across a spiral saw in the garage that worked good. There were only drywall bits for it and I went threw 4 of them I needed the rings to fit some 6.5's where I had 5.25's.
  15. I need to make a few 6.5 mdf rings, only problem is I don't have a circle jig. Can I make a perfect circle without one? I have a shit ton if different bits but I've never made rings before.
  16. Yeah np, the projectors focus the light so you see better and so you don't blind people. It's illegal here to have hids without projectors. Why did he have to jack the car up to put lights in? haha
  17. Newer VW's are complicated. One time I accidentally pulled my dome light switch out. When I tried to put it back in some metal on it touched something and shorted out. It blew the power window fuse and my windows wouldn't roll down, sunroof was stuck, the dash illumination went out, and the car wouldn't even turn over when I tried to start it.
  18. The "projectors" are the proper housing for the HID's, they are not two different types of lights.
  19. The whole thing is a memorable movie quote from Liar Liar.
  20. I wouldn't take it to small claims court, it'd just drain 8 hours out of your life and the seller probably won't even show up and even if you got the judgment he'd probably just stiff you anyways, so what you should do is piss and moan like an impotent jerk, and then bend over and take it up the tailpipe!
  21. Maybe a SA-10? 600rms but can handle way more. Or maybe a dc lvl 4
  22. I don't know much about eBay's terms of service but imo it sounds like that guys trying to screw you over. You can't raise the price of something after its sold... Shit stick with your story and talk to an ebay employee.
  23. Glad someone mentioned immortal technique, that guy is a great lyricist. Sounds pretty good, tried to download but I forgot my datpiff login... I'll prolly make a new account
