  1. Here it is guys. We have always had great support from Batcap! by Xstatic and ExpressTech Computers of Salisbury has sponsored the Best of Show trophy the past few events... and now we have others wanting to join in the fun! Car Audio Magazine and now Ascendant Audio have pitched in on the fun as well... Ascendant Audio has offered up a HAVOC 15" subwoofer to be raffled off and given away (was hoping to be here by last months New Year Knockdown but thanks to UPS it didn't arrive in time). So thanks to Nick and Scott for their involvement! This is going to be a fun event, and our friends and special guests B2DaDot and Javonna will be there again hanging with us and signing autographs... you won't want to miss this!!!
  2. lmao... thanks for the mention. I think. "world renowned"... too funny. and I'm trying to figure out why I was competing. I'm glad you beat me in your paper... the only way you could... HAHAHAHAHA seriously, cool story bro. p.s. Gary wants to know if you are going to TRY and beat him at the next show. He said he "farts in your general direction"....lmao
  3. my .40 cal S&W handgun will work just fine, if you are within 120 yards, I can hit you anywhere I want to. open sights, I can hit a bowling duckpin at 100 yards.
  4. the ignorance that still exists is amazing. This guy/girl hopefully will be the one that one day, his daughter, or son, or grandchild will come home with a boy/girlfriend of the opposite race and really throw a monkey wrench in his/her program. HATE really is a bad thing.
  5. Thanks Steve. And thanks for letting us be a part on your forums. A lot of love found on here. Thanks also to Matt Elliott & Gary Webb for all of their help, and Nick Garcia (also on Team Pulse) and Joey Genco (team Pulse) for lending a hand. Thanks to Trippi for letting me work on the hummer.

  8. yes it is. With the DDBEAST we can actually do the same number sealed on the dash (154.7dB) as we do at the headrest. 43hz. no wall. single 15" but he's right it is easier with a lower freq. lol usually higher freq's do better on the dash, lower freq's do better at the headrest and floor, both with the door or windows open on the opposite side.
  9. Ok... I want to share my opinion about DC with you guys. Recently I had a customer with a DC subwoofer that needed a recone done. Ok, well having done many other recones I told him I'd take a look at it, and take care of him if I could. Well... the subwoofer in question was a DC Level 5 woofer...18" This woofer was a monster as I tried to move it...lol the build quality of the subwoofer was actually pretty nice. The only issue I had were the leads.... Now... then I had a customer interested in the subs. Well, I called to speak with Rusty at DC Audio. He was unavailable to speak to me at the moment as he was helping someone else, no problem... I'll call back later. The customer is a friend so I told him when I got some info I'd let him know later that day. About 15 minutes later, my phone rang. It was Rusty on the other end. He answered all my questions politely, as I had a few. Then I went on my way... but I thought it was pretty good customer service on his part to do that. Kudos to Rusty for taking care of business sir. (PS. I am a Digital Designs fanatic myself, but I do need to give credit where it is due.)
  10. I know exactly what Jacob is saying... When I'm in the middle of a build, answering the phone is sometimes NOT an option. I really don't like not being able to answer it... but if they leave a message I always call back as soon as I can.

  15. I have to agree... sorry man... but sounds to me like you are in over your head. consult a local audio dealer for assistance.
  16. It seems like only yesterday I started on this journey with this little baby. Every once in a while it throws a temper tantrum... like today, this poor innocent girl came in to visit with little "DDBEAST" to show it some love. Well wouldn't you know it... the "DDBEAST" got angry and started yelling... Special thanks to Richard and Teresa Boswell for allowing me to babysit this little tyke. To take it on its journey in search of that infamous 160dB with one woofer in a street vehicle (no wall). It's been alot of fun. Thanks to Digital Designs, Powerbass Xtreme, Batcap, Excessive Amperage, Alma Gates (great friend and my hero), My girlfriend (for putting up with the long hours) and to you... the people on these forums and competitions who keep car audio alive. Thank you for allowing me to play. thanks to Nick and the gang from TDH for coming and playing with us at shows (they ain't scared) and to Steve for letting me be on this forum!
  17. COMPETITION CORNER scroll down to bottom of page for event flyer. I tried to attach it here but it says the file is too large.
