My next vehicle
AlpineKid replied to Neo_frog's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
I personally like the Nissan Frontier or the Titan if you need more power, they are both comfortable, roomy and have a lot of features, including a full Rockford Fosgate audio system option -
Toyota is doing bad.
AlpineKid replied to redbaron80's topic in Off Topic - Random, Misc posts - the forum "Junk Drawer"
I am not one for conspiracy theories but the government owns a massive portion of GM as we all know. I believe they are forcing Toyota's hand on all these recalls and making it into a massive story for the media. Look at all the new commercials for Chevy vehicles they compare fuel economy with almost all the Toyota classes, SUV, mid-size, etc. It looks like negative ad campaigning for an election, just attack your opponent. I know Toyota needs to get their shit straight and it is a major problem but I own a few Toyota's and have never experienced problems, and I have a 2008 also so I'm not just talking about the older generations. /end rant, just my 2 cents not that GM is lying about their MPG figures etc. -
Need help with picking out computer parts
AlpineKid replied to 01xtreme's topic in Computer Talk - News, technology, advice
^^^ He is 100% right, I have been building computers since I was 12 and you never want to skimp on the processor or memory it might suffice for a few months but will soon be back to the laggy slow computer within a year due to software updates, etc that demand more rendering (for editing that is). Hope this helps @_@ -
Xs Power Batt help
AlpineKid replied to Rogers's topic in XS Power Batteries / Chargers! (and other stuff too)
The xs power D5100 is a perfect fit for all imports, civics, integras, accords, nissans etc, not sure about toyota. The battery is factory size dimensions but has a lot more power perfect for your setup, weighs in around 40lbs, has a reinforced case and is only 5in wide so it won't take up a lot of truck space. As for price I am not good at finding deals lol but It is on ebay for $240. As for kinetics, the HC1400 will be around the same power? Same size and weight, can be found on amazon for $195 shipped. hope this helps! -

AlpineKid replied to AlpineKid's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.

AlpineKid replied to AlpineKid's topic in General Audio - Can't find a category for your question? Ask here.
I was thinking of adding another type r but I really don't want the extra weight and space taken up, the type x will probably take up just as much though lol, plus i have to get a new amp either way, any suggestions for an amp up to 1500rms watts -

I was looking for opinions on Alpines Type X, using my type r for reference in that I think it sounds good, thanks everyone for your replies! My Type R is in a 1.7 ft3 box with a 12 X 1 inch slot on the right side, powered by an alpine m500 amp @ 2 ohms & 1 farad cap (have a small car so it keeps lights from dimming, I know they are useless, but it seemed to of helped....) -
Hey everyone, I have an Alpine setup with one Alpine Type R and Alpine M500 amp it's my first sub, so naturally I totally love it and look forward to driving to school for once. I have searched all around the forums however and no one seems to use alpine subs, or amps for that matter so I am asking for your opinions, considering I am looking into a type X, please be honest & thanks a lot for any suggestions, or criticism! ~Matt
