  1. lol heres my build log http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/106366-2007-tahoe-big-thee-along-with-xs-power-d3400-installed-pics/page__p__1480147__fromsearch__1#entry1480147 box building hopefully this weekend
  2. after talking to dwright ima go with a lil bigger box and more port for the XL 18" This new box will fit snug between the panels in the back with will look better IMO sub up port back, sub on the far right and port on the far left (3 common walls) 6.56 cubes NET 116.25 square inches of port (17.72 per cube) Tuned at 32.7 hz 1" dowel for bracing Double baffle flush mounted
  3. x2 i would rather wait and use the speaker and be 100% positive its gunna fit
  4. it was his mistake to change the settings when the car left you everything was playing fine and not blown correct? its not your fault charge him for new tweeters thats what i would do
  5. Haha.. well with all the uncertainty I suppose Ill just scratch the idea and run at 1 ohm.. I know the amp can definanetly handle it (0.5), and I feel my electrical could as well... But Ill just either re-cone or sell it and buy 2 new ones with the correct coils. thess amps can be ran all day on .3 ohm.. SOMEONE told me this on the phone.. and after rise who cares.. i seen a guy run a pair of ap1800s strapped at .5ohm ya thats .25 on each amp b4 rise.. and he had 2 subs and rising to 2ohm... he dont hav any problems.. and ap are the best amps.. like dc holy fanboy. Dont ever give anyone advice here. ever.
  6. In your box thread didn't you say your doing a single RF 12 on 150-200 RMS? If so you don't need a H/O alt Just do the big three in 1/0
  7. Ima say n8 lol That was my thought but not sure what mods work the grave yard shift. Yea true but most of the locked FS thread I see are n8 lol
  8. Can't sell here bro
  9. Doin my big 3 today and adding my second battery in my tahoe! pics later

  10. Why not use ring terminals and a ibar kit?
  11. i just started playing with the tomahawk i threw one from a balcony on stadium to the other stadium and got one i love getting tomahawk kills lol
  12. i walked out in my garage one day and found my buddy with my blowtorch heating his coils on his s-10 his front coils are almost all the way compressed i say do exhaust but either way you will have both done eventually

there still out of stock for i think the next 3 weeks

  14. I will be runnin mine on the same ^ but my stock alt is 160 amp The D3400 Will Be Powering The AQ2200D Only though im leaving the stock batt in the stock location and i have a second battery tray in my truck big three to both batts and 2 runs of 1/0 directly to the amp from the D3400
  15. This, that'd be a fun build. I'm still gunna do a 8" build after the 18" I'm thinking 6 level 2 8" in a 4th order on a DC 3.5k
  16. i still wanna do the 8s but when funds allow maybe 6 8"s though in a 4th order on a 3.5 k the 18 is going in first also PM coming your way
  17. i dont know anything about 4th orders lol but the 18 will most likely be temp. in there cause i have other things my burbs need done and i still need a second XL 18" and a DC 5k for the sub stage ill probally do a 8 build after the 1 18 since it will go to the burban eventually i just want some beat in my daily and i can get this 1 18 build in quick
  18. sold em lol im ready for something diffrent but this is for my 2007 tahoe the burban is up and coming but has other things i need/want to do before i get some serious beat in there
  19. yea i didnt mention it but i guess it like a no brainer i always do double baffle lol it will be double baffle flush mount
  20. yea i think i might switch it from dual 1s to dual 1.4s i just dont think 4 8"s is gunna be enough for me in that big truck lol and the 18" is already paid for and i already have the amp and extra D3400 so the build would come together quick and i want some beat in my daily lol plus i have other things i needa do to the burb first
  21. This Box Look Good To Yall? Got My XL 18" ordered and it will be going in a 2007 tahoe on a AQ2200D at either .5 or 1 ohm (havent decided due to not knowing for sure if my electrical will handle it daily) 5.72 cubes after all disp. tuned right at 33Hz with 87 square inches of port May invert the sub to show it off
  22. We mention in the beginning of the video that we roll into the volume to capture the best signal voltage for each amplifier. Just so you know...when doing spl there is always a minute amount of clipping in the signal for you to show you highest score..... I completely disagree. In terms of just this raw test the Sundown is the biggest amplifier in size. When using these amplifiers in a compact application like some of mine you simply can't fit an amplifier that large. The DC was the smallest amplifier producing the most power (also with the least voltage drop). u got ZINGERed! (i made a new term =] lol) he did make a good point about the amps
