I've always wanted to have and ride a motorcycle and now I finally can. Without the parents saying no and the money right, now I can afford one and they seem like a practical and fun way to get from point A to point B. Problem is I've never been on one. No dirtbike, nothing. Well, I did have a Suzuki 50cc scooter in college but that doesn't count. It was yellow and awesome. Anyway, how would one go about familiarizing with them and getting a license? All of my friends with bikes I don't want to ask for fear of dropping it. If I drop a bike I want it to be mine. Also, what would be a good bike for a beginner? I want sportbike type, I've always loved them, specifically the Yamahas. There's a Yamaha 250(or something small like that) that looks like an R6 about 20 miles from here for $2500 and I've been eyeballing it hard. Not face melting powerful but looks sharp, could be an awesome first bike. Any suggestions for a newbie rider? INb4 "You can't put a system on a sportbike"

I used birch for my last build and I'll be the first to say I'll never used MDF to make boxes again. 1: It's significantly lighter. and like it was said, When you build huge boxes by yourself, it matters. 2: It's much stronger. MDF can't compare in rigidity to birch of the same dimensions. 3: I find it easier to work with as I have a garage full of tools designed for real cabinet grade material, not pressed sawdust. 4: SAWDUST. MDF dust it super light and floats around all annoying like. The birch dust is heaver and makes nice little piles that makes you feel like you accomplished something. I do carpentry as a hobby so I have a shitton of tools I would never touch with anything less than something I'd put in my own house. When I did my build in MDF it took forever for two of us to get two sheets of that heavy shit in the back of my truck and dropped one corner destroying the ENTIRE corner of that sheet. The two sheets of birch I loaded myself. Yes, MDF is smoother and finishes a lot better than the multi-ply birch so I'll probably be using it for all the pretty work but for skeletons and boxes birch is worth the extra $20 a sheet anyday. Just $.02 as an experienced woodworker. My next build I'll be custom making a lot of interior pieces out of random fancy woods like ebony, cherry and white oak. Should be sick.

Smoking may be bad for me but me not smoking is bad for other people. I have BAD anger issues when I start fiending for nicotine and I usually run out of smokes at the same time something goes drastically wrong. Like the littlest things send me into a blind rage. Yesterday, I ran out of smokes at the exact time I realized the tuning on the box I just finished is off and went nuclear. I'd die without my Camels. Ironically, they'll kill me one day.

For the record, I have that exact same TV.

To make the shitty sounding box better, one of the drivers is fucked up now... It's making a very slappy sound. Still beating, just slapping harder. I hope to god it's a tinsel lead. I'll pull it out tomorrow to find out.

Got more work done. Forgive me if They're rotated the wrong direction. I seriously wanna fucking kill something right now. The box sounds like ass. It's super peaky way too high and and the lows are all shake no sound. And I'm out of smokes and have no cash. I'm fucking pissed.

I may very well just pull them out and only have a front stage and subs for now. I'll have about $500 worth of MB Quart gear coming soon so I'll survive.
