it should put out what ever signal it has coming into it. if you got the signal crossed over to only out out highs and mids going into the amp then thats what the amps signal out should be. same with lows. but if you got a full range signal running into the amp then yeah thats what you should get coming out of it. unless there is a crossover network made into your amp specifically for the signal out.

what ever you do dont go 2 extreme with it cus a friend of mine had 2 12"s in the rear of his hatch and broke his trunk latch from bumpin 2 hard. had to take the subs out to replace the thing it sucked.

ya more then likely you need a new sending unit for your gauge. and an oil filter should NEVER LEAK

i had a 91 with 4 15s in it not walled off. i know its not the year you got but theyr pretty much the exact same set up. i had 2 in the rear cargo area in a sealed box and 2 in place of the back seat. i will tell u this u definately need subs that can handle small enclosures. i know ported boxes are the way to go but i had mine sealed and they sounded pretty dam good. just need a good size amp to run them. i had an old skool 900w lanzar running 4 15's in mine and it would shake the hell outa the mirrors lol.

throttle body gasket might be leaking causing a high idle, or the idle air control motor (iac) might be going out. as for the going hard into reverse, has he checked his upper motor mounts that connect by the top of the radiator? if the bushings in those go bad they can make the car go into gear hard at first.
