  1. ah that is probably the issue i been having, only some of the music on my ipod is 320kbps, the rest is either 128kbps or 196kbps. thanks for letting me know that, that actually helps heaps
  2. that is true, having it on usb means you dont have to change through like 100cds i'll remember that for the future, thank you kind sir haha looks like ill be making the switch to a head unit with usb input sometime in the near future
  3. Random as but was just wondering. i find using cds just seems "better" than plugging in your ipod, but i cant do that anymore because it just skips are any of the guys on this forum able to play cds in there system without it skipping because of the vibrations caused by the bass??? (im talking about when you crank the volume right up and have your bass knob on full)
  4. im interested to find out how to solve this problem as i also have the humming problem with my speakers
  5. cant wait for this to be officially released. like the idea of group buy (whatever that means )
  6. Im pretty sure each channel is stable at 2ohms for 1500 watts on each channel, and bridging the amp brings it to peak power of 3000 watts on one channel. i personally would bridge then, if your subs could take 1500W each
  7. can you bridge the amp? Edit: and by 2ohm stable, do you mean each channel is 2ohm stable?
  8. when i got mine i spent it some MDF and food and drink for when i was working with the MDF lol. nothing awesome but i did spend it
  9. nice vid man, would a different bottle make any difference to the amount of attempts to get it to float lol
  10. Am insanely keen to get one of these as soon as i can, it looks to be an amazingly helpful tool! Also im liking the above idea for mass making of them and SMD members get them cheaper :woot:
  11. So a few people i know, wanted a demo today but didn't have to much spare time on there hands, so we drove about a block or so (like 250m) away in the thought that we would be respectful of the neighbours. put a song on mixed by Decaf, so of course it hit hard, got to about half volume and then an old lady shows up and tells us to turn that shit down because her house was shaking a block away. then she made some comment about thinking it might be an earthquake coming, like what happened in chrischurch (yes im a New Zealander)[Not sure if some of you guys will have heard about the Earthquake or not] anyway was rather interesting, but im more pleased with myself that sorry about the incident, because now i know my system can shake houses a fair distance away haha. im sure you guys on her have had experiences like that. Post any recent incidents you have had, or legendary old ones. would love to hear what other peoples experinces are like
  12. DAMN i was almost going to break 100,000 and i just lost some traction LOL - oh well, still set personal record for the site see what you mean with the lose of traction...dropped a few. question:does the Alexa thing work on a day to day bases of through traffic?
  13. umm i think im looking at the right thing, its says (as of this moment) Alexa Traffic Rank = 100,869 for stevemeadedesigns.com EDIT: thats pretty damn impressive
  14. agreeing with the others, if u can build your own box, do it. 1- it ends up better (if you know how to do it) 2- you can tune it to what ever you want 3- no one else will have a box the same as yours, so its unique unique is good!
  15. my girlfriend made it 3 years ago for my email its my first initial and my last name... makes sense but it doesnt make a word looks like a word to me
  16. its one of the older (not sure how old but it is an older model) Fusion NV 15" sub and the score was at 44Hz
  17. haha yeah us kiwis get around lol. RMS power is 1100W, actual amount of power going to sub is 800W. and awesome thanks, a few people have said the same so looks like its true lol
  18. That is true that most of the time, if your not going to do the ,so said "build" its a waste of peoples time trying to help you. but in some cases, the dude might learn something and be able to apply it to a build that he will actually go through with. thats just my opinion
  19. Yes i know that area is 2 dimensional and that volume is 3 dimensional, i made a mistake in the original post and didn't notice. good on you for spotting that lol @Alex-Thanks, with the new box build ill try that out and see what i can get on the metre
