wall build

I never knew a honda is the same as a ford. If you're going to say that, you might as well say that there are thousands of wall builds. He was asking about fords. -

In a Ford EF falcon? What are you looking to find? Pics or just wether it is possible or not? -
Lol. 4 15s, and sounded great. WOW. I have yet to hear anything over 150db, that sounds great. Why does people think SPL subs is suppose to sound like the Cheapest equipment distorted to the max. I'll ask, why did they sound great? You sound a bit trollish today. Maybe have a rest and come back later? Not to be rude, but you do sound a bit like you're bashing the crap out of DD.

Once, this guy I know asked me why my box was so big (half wall, 1 18") I just said that it makes it louder and play lower (so he could understand it, didn't want to get technical) what he said next was a classic. He said "oh, my mate said that small sealed boxes are louder" I laughed a bit and just told him that his mate is most certainly wrong.

Square or round

Go for round, squares are just a gimmick, be it a pretty good one. Look, round speakers have been around for the longest, and they do the job perfectly, so no need to get squares. -
Huh? Turning over? When you guys say 'warm up' you know that the surround and spider aren't going to gain much heat. Only a very minor amount from friction in the material. Otherwise, you'd have to thrash the heck out of the coil to warm up the whole sub, and if you do that, you've been playing it loud anyway. Unless you mean something else? Warm up from the heat in the car from the heater playing the sub will just loosin it up a bit Exactly, makes sense. So a better way for everyone to word their sentences would be: "have the heater on for a bit until the car has warmed up, until then, don't play the subs to loud" Instead of: "Just warm them up by playing them at lower volume for a bit" See what I mean?

voltage drop

What's the point in a big ass alt if you have no decent battery to get topped up with any extra power you aren't using? Unless you're going to have your car running every time you play music, you'd be better off with batteries. And batteries can supply way more current than an alt can for shorter amount of times. You could pull 1,000 amps from a big battery for a few seconds with no problem, you can't do that with an alt though without putting heaps of strain on it. Batteries supply current, as do alts. If you didn't have current, you wouldn't have power, you wouldn't have freaking electricity. Batteries just store their power in a chemical form, while alts convert movement into it. -
Squaro-ports? I saw a post a while back (this question gets asked to many damn times) and it said that round ports have less surface area on the inside of the port, so therefore less air resistance in the port. That was probably the worst description of it, but you get the idea. The flare just helps to stop turbulence at the mouth and (if flared too) tail of the port. A somewhat interesting page for those who like reading and graphs: http://www.subwoofer-builder.com/flare-testing.htm
