Depends entirely on the car, for example, my swift is louder with everything facing up and my buddy´s VW fox it´s louder with subs back/port side

Why do you want to be louder sealed up? are you gonna compete at db drag? you can always compete on usaci, meca or another association,my suzuki swift was the same way that your car is right now, my explorer is backwards and man, i HATE the explorer so much, i´m all about demos, demoing a car with everything sealed up it´s just lame if you ask me, specially on the shows where you have lots of people gathered around your car to see everything, i prefer to be louder with both windows open all day long!!!

I know is a different sub, but i tested a DD 3518 on a 8.2 cubic feet box using 1200 watts, 2200 watts and 4000 watts and yes, it definitely hated the 4K lol, about your other question, well i like efficient boxes, i tried a 6 cubic feet box using the 4K and sounded about the same against the 8 c/f box with smaller power

4th orders are fun , yes they can play a wider range if it´s designed right, just remember something, the wider you want it the less output it has specially at peak frequency, i use 2.5 : 1 ratio and works awesome

Your SPL box idea it´s wrong as hell, 64 hz tuning? you need way lower than that About the daily box, the first one looks good, just ditch the dowels, with that center port and only 15" tall the port should be strong , good luck with the build

Single DD 512 and 1000 watts doing 141 @ 44 hz in a trunk car, don´t have pics but i could get them in a couple of weeks when my buddy returns from Venezuela. Box is 1.85 cubic feet and 30SQ of port with a 38 hz tuning, sounds amazing if you ask me
