Same thing, i tested this before and didn´t see any change on the meter or how it played to my ears, but of course, subs displacement were kind of small, i guess for people using subs with a lot of displacement would change a little bit since you gain more internal space...

That´s always a HUGE advantage, i dunno why people (not talking about you) think that buying a TL it´s just for comps or something like that, man , once i bought my TL i had the first huge tool to get me really loud, after that, i bought a clamp meter and got even louder, someone stole it from me though

It´s definitely a lower model, 512 or 1512, you can see the model if you take out the boot, you´ll find a sticker with the model and coil but it´s a single 4 ohms coil for sure. ding ding ding

If it´s a show, most common thing is to have only 30 seconds for metering, i guess a sweep would be your best option, try a 10 hz long sweep, for example, a 35-45 hz sweep, a longer sweep than that might not be too accurate, if there´s 2 rounds then it´s ever better, you round the sweep on the first one and on the second round, just burp the peak you had with the sweep and a couple of frequencies below and above that peak anyways, i dunno why i´m talking so much crap, sorry about the off topic lol

nice explanation stang, you said it perfectly!! i do have some opinions about FS of a sub though, in colloquial words so OP can understand it, i think about FS as this, a sub with a low FS makes it easier to play strong on the lows and viceversa, maybe i´m wrong but this what my testings have showed me in the past, once again, i only used the term EASIER, of course a high FS sub can play strong on lows , as stang said, "It will do whatever you tell it to do"!!! About QTS, well, my boy explained you this thing perfectly, specially the SPL part, i´ve gotten GREAT results with cheap ass subs that has a high QTS value using tiny boxes

Damn!!! hahaha you never know then!!! Stang, sweep it´s not always the best way to go, i always start with a certain frequency depending on your car, box and tuning, for example, my explorer, i use a big box with a 39 hz tuning, i started at 42 hz then 44 hz, score raised, burped a 46 hz and score stayed the same, so i back it up to 45 hz and raied 0.2 dbs, that always work for me way better than the sweep, but once again, every car, person and application are different as obi showed me a couple of minutes ago lol

Installed one of this amps in a nissan patrol, stock alternator and 3 batts, 4 runs of wire, went from 148.2 dbs using a Cadence C5 (3500 watts @ 16v) to 151 dbs just by changing the amp, i haven´t clamped this thing yet, but i will in a couple of weeks, but i can asure you this, it´s a monster amp FOR SURE!!!

Every application is different for sure, yes, as my boy bassjunkie said, i´ve lowered the peak frequency of the build by adding more power in the past, this has happened to me only a couple of times , i can give you this statement, adding more power lowers your peak frequency IF THERE´S A CHANGE, once again, this isn´t a constant, sometimes peak doesn´t move at all, i´ve never seen someone that has raised the peak because of adding more power, but you never know!! If you are gonna meter the car, i would burp the same peak frequency you had before adding more power, and then, i would burp 2 frequencies below that, if score drops then you know the peak frequency it´s the old one or maybe only 1 hz below that, i wouldn´t waste my time burping above the usual peak
