I haven´t seen a single application where resin kills your score, there are people gaining only a couple of tenths, other guys didn´t gain anything and a lot more people gained almost a full DB, depends on the application i guess, but yes, it does make the surface of the box very smooth and you get a better airflow. If i´m not mistaken, a full gallon of resin takes out 0.15 c/f of your internal space, you should take that in mind

I´ve seen people running under 1 ohm with a good electrical, i wouldn´t try tho, i prefer to go by the manual, hifonics brz2400.1 would be my choice i guess

That´s another option, depends if your port stays with a good clearance from the hatch. Who said that? that might work for a smaller car, but a 47-48 hz tuning for a big ass SUV with a peak around 48 hz??? maybe i´ve been doing something wrong then but for me, that wouldn´t work so much

Biggest problem for you it´s the box´s depth, burp boxes work better (at least on my testings) with a straight port, your port would end up on a L shape because you need around 19" depth with the port i´m kind of thinking about, you could go with a smaller port and straight but i don´t think that sub likes small port, i mean, look at that xmax and SD!!

yes i do have the box built it just a old box just something to play with. so what do you think I should do for the ports, should I do areo or slot. could still use some help with this. If I was peaking at 48-50hz what do you think I should turn to? I love Aeros, they work very nice, but there are cars that work better with slot, and if i remember correctly, the tahoe it´s louder with a big ass slot port on the center of the box!!! I wouldn´t tune the box higher than 41 hz my friend, but that´s just me

ya mean lower? the box works out to be tuned to about 35Hz. does it only make the noise on certain songs and frequencies? pretty sure he ment that lol , anyways, i could give a couple of recomendations but damn, singer´s know his shit haha, so i say follow any step and input he gives you

I used one of my 3518´s for burps a couple of years ago, box was 4.3 cubic feet and 2 8" aeros, anyways, then i took out one of the ports and left a single 8" port with a 35 hz tuning, that thing sounded AWESOME, yes my DD´s love bigger boxes but this show you that you can go with a small box for 18´s , P´s recomendations are great!! By the way, i´m pretty sure i´m subscribed to a guy´s channel that had 2 RD´s on about 4.5 c/f per sub on the trunk of a ford probe and that thing looks nasty loud, i remember it´s bobby379 or something like that, let me search it for you...

ssx it´s 1000 watts if i remember correctly, they are very strong IMO, you can go ahead and get A LOT of power if you aren´t noob enough hehe, i´m using 8000 watts for my 750 watts 2.5" coil subs in the explorer without any problems, of course, i past the noob area a long time ago lol

Audioque amplifiers are VERY strong according to a lot of people on the forum, i haven´t test them but i did try A LOT of digital designs amplifiers and they are almost the same amp Anyways, depends on the model you buy, of course, you will need to upgrade the electrical system also , but if you go with the ssx subs, i guess i would fit them with a single AQ2200.1 , AQ3500.1 if you want to push their limits but i wouldn´t recommend that much power lol

It´s a big ass SUV, i would say your peak should be right around 48-50 hz at the most, i dunno about your tahoe but my explorer HATES anything tuned past the 41 hz mark, if i were you, i would tune the box no more than 41 hz , subs up/port back it´s a proven kick ass box for SUV´s. I would shoot for around 160 SQ of port and 14-15" long , that would give you around 41 hz tuning and maybe 4.7 c/f per sub, that´s one big ass box for burps if you ask me, but if you already built it then just try it

2.5 c/f and a 45-50SQ of port it´s a kickass box for a single 9512 , 37 hz tuning would be awesome

Yes it could be, but once again, i haven´t work with that sub, i´m pretty sure guys over here said that sub loves small boxes, i might be wrong, i would wait for someone with more experience on the SA-12 to jump in and give you an input

I´ve never used SA´s , but if i remember correctly, their sweet box size it´s 1.5 cubic feet per sub man, you should research a little bit more about this, i don´t think they like 2.3 cubic feet, PM derrick,jacob fuller or someone that uses SA-12´s...

2.3 c/f per sub AFTER displacement it´s perfect for a lot of 12" subs, after a few testings i can tell you that, for example, my crossfire BMF likes barely 1.75 c/f , what subs are you gonna use??? Anyways, about the distance, lots of people says that you need at least one of the measures of the port opening, for example, if you have a port 22" x 5" , then you need at least 5" from the hatch, for me this is only a myth, in A LOT of testings,i´ve found that my explorer likes the port no more than 4" away, we are talking about a 14.5 x 9 port by the way, while my swift the further the port is from the hatch the louder it is, my point is, that maybe generally speaking, you would be ok with at least 4" from hatch maybe?? I dunno About double baffle, yes you can do it, but it´s more expensive,nothing like a good old threaded rod
