A friend of mine got this amp for free along with some r.f subs. He called me saying " this thing is slappin hella hard, but it cut out and so stuff is coming out of the amp". So i asked how he had it wired up and he said explained it to me. Come to find out, these are not 1 ohm stable, and he had it wired to 1 ohm. Took a look at the amp at work the next day and smelled horrible and had what looked like oil coming out of the amp. He fried the amp quick. Diddnt know it was that cheap to have repaired. I thought it would be more like 350-400, since we all know jl's pricing.

It may not even be worth it since you can get the new 4200 on crutchfield for 500. Ive asked this in the past, but has anyone had problems with the ipod video playing through the deck with the parking brake being bypassed? My boys 30gig classic plays no problem, so bought a new 120classic (figured something was wrong with my 30gig) and still doesnt work. Have the settings on the ipod and the deck the same as my boys and still doenst work

You tryin to Lower it at all? Im running 22's on my yukon with a a little over 5" drop out back and 3" up front. Here is a pic of my truck What about looking into some Rockstars? Some people may say they are played out, but they do look good. Most rims that are black with lip do not have a chrome lip, but a polished lip. The Boss wheel on my truck are like that and are a paint in the ass to take care of.

Lookin hella good. How much drop do you think you have now in the front compared to stock? Are you gonna have to notch the frame to get lower in the rear? Did you ever get the adjustable panhard bar, or does the rear tire (i think the right) stick out more to the outside then the left?

I would do some 8 guage.

How wide are your rims. Also you want to look out for the rear upper shock bolt/nut combo. The shaft of the bolt is facing towards the outside of the car and came very close to hitting my rims and tires when i put them on. Just remove the bolt and have the head of the bolt sticking out toward the outside of the car. Jack one side of the truck in the air and take a look at wear the tire is rubbing on the fender liner adn trim that part out ( will be shiny and obviously rubbed through). Had to do some trimming when i lowered it and put the 22's on

I run DJM drop shocks and i have been running a 5" drop and now a 5.5" ( have drop shocks for the front as wello)drop in my 06yukon and they ride good for the price. When you did your drop, did you get shock extenders ( probably not with a 2" drop), but you can get some extenders and run the stocks shocks if you want

I think that rampage had some "ring rust", but would have still lost since he couldnt stuff the takedowns. Almost had it in the third, but fucked up and let evans recover. Unless rampage comes out banging and works hard on the takedown defense, same result will happen in a rematch if there is going to be one

Sorry to thread jack, but it is a question on o-scope settings. When i did mine, i had seen that you set your deck settings to flat and all bass boost off, then adjust the gains. After, you set the settings to where you like, but how do you know if it is clipping now after you adjust? Would it have been better to set everything prior where you like it and then set gains? I was going of the youtube vid of meade showing how to set gains.

Just got done downloading it and putting it on the ipod. Gonna be slappin this tommorrow on the way to work. Good reviews so far.

Kobe for sure. Lebron is a great player and the best well see for years, but how do you give up on a game when your down less then 10 with 1:30 left in your season. He is the leader ( was ) of the Cavs and the MVP of the league, but giving up is not a option. He should have rallied HIS team and try to pull off the win.

I have djm drop kit in my yukon and after some swapping of coils, it rides much better. Good prices too

Where do you have the amp mounted? My boy had his mounted on the back of the cab behind the rear seat and it used to cut out after 25-30 min of playing time. I think this was due to the lack of air to cool the amp.

Moved out 2 months after graduating high school to go to trade school. Moved out of state to AZ and came back after graduating a year later and moved back in with my parents. I would go with the 4200. Looks a lot cleaner and can still add navi to it later. I wish that feature was avaible for the 4100, but oh well. I like the full 7" screen
