  1. I remember a man getting tool saying it was just for simple things.... Looks awesome. I can see custom case for the computer for this also now.
  2. That sucks, but I know you know better! You got lucky, I know a few months ago Danny Britain got 3rd degree and is getting skin grafts over where the burn is. We all get the feeling of being safe and forget sometime how dangerous it can be.
  3. Its a great idea. I had a FM-modulated changer in a briefcase back in the day. Cig lighter and clip to the antenna and take it to the customers and let them see the products work. Ever think of taking out a demo of sun flash with you? UV light, pint of sun flash and fabric. Show and sell.
  4. I have had a lot of amps in my time and the specs never told the true story. PG M25 12.5 wattsx 2 stable into any inductive reactive load. US Amps VLX-400 200x2 at 4 ohms 44" long and 4 8ga power feeds stable to 1 ohm US Amps VLX-200 100x2 at 4 ohms same as above with different rail voltage but rated stable to 1/2 ohm Autotek 333 165.5x2 at 4 ohms stable to 1 PPI A1200 PPI Pro-Mos 425 Hifonics Series VII Colosuss Aphrodite, boltar and Zues Lanzar Opti50c I dont think any one of those amps was much below $1000 and the rated power was usually under 500 watts and many were under 100. It was because I could run 3 Autotek 333, and still be under 1000 watts total system power. 4 M25 in under 100 watt class etc.
  5. Mike Fallon Cleveland ,Ohio 2 sensor with event promoter pro Have put on a bunch of shows over the years.
  6. For the difference in price go copper. Aluminum is between 12 and 14 bux and Copper is about 16 bux http://www.mcmaster.com/#copper/=5e5f7o http://www.mcmaster.com/#aluminum/=5e5erb
  7. Its a great camera but it has some quirks that make it a bit harder on a novice then a normal video camera or still that does movies. Its a great starting point but can get expensive when you start adding in lens sets. It is awesome if you know a lot about manual settings on cameras but you can change some settings that will mean you can take a really bad picture. I love all my Canon DSLRs!
  8. 40 amps overnight might be a little bit much. You could start out at 40 then drop to 2 might work better. AGM and lead acid have different charging profiles so if you charge the bank then one type will not get charged optimally.
  9. Damn I feel OLD. I wish my bills were like 2g a month or under
  10. Ok I have decided to bag my latest project and I am trying to find a good price on an airbar. Anyone got any leads?
  11. come on someone. i know Rusty has an original, anyone else?
  12. Ok this is one for some of the older crowd. I am trying to find a copy of Bass Cows from Hell. I lost mine somewhere and really want to listen to it again. Any help?
  13. ok. im confused now. they might be using the scuba tank for a storage tank fed by the compressor. If you could get some pictures under the truck it would help. There might be all the correct parts in the truck just set up wrong.
  14. ok so you have a scuba tank going to somewhere. You might need a low pressure storage tank. The scuba tank is like your compresser not storage tank. The picture of the valves is of the electrical connectors. can you get to the side with the hoses? Some things that make it faster. -Add a low pressure tank -move the valves closer to the bags -Bigger diameter lines. Most valves can pass a lot of volume quick, but if it is going down a long line to the bag it takes a while for the truck to move
  15. Work with the enhanced 911 system. When you call 911 it sends location and information about you from your phone, and you can upload pictures so they know what type of response to send.
  16. Wall socket testing is fun until you end up lockin the coil and killin the motor for future recones
  17. Ok I might not know a lot but here are some ideas for ya. 1. Gain controls only allow you to use a different voltage input on the amp, not control the volume. You will never get 5 volts out of the radio. If you want to check the output of the radio then you need to measure the input resistance of the amplifier and make a resistor pack that matches it and set the gain at the max voltage of the radio under load. 2. The voltage output at the amp doesn't mean anything unless you know the amperage at the same moment or the actual resistance of the system at that frequency and power level. 3. The voltage drop you are seeing may be normal for your system. Check the front battery drop and rear battery drop at the same time. If the front and back drop the same amount then the electrical system is being taxed that much under normal conditions. If the back battery drops more then you need to run more charging and return wires. Remember that the alt actually charges the Negative wire and returns the positive. 4. Check the grounds in the system for voltage differences. See if the voltage at the ground point is the same as at the end of wire. 5. Check for voltage difference in the resting voltage of the car. If there are differences then rewire. 6. Try and swap the d3100 to the front of the car and see if the voltage comes up.
  18. When people are starting out I give advice about these. They work fine for most of the testing you want to do in your cars and are consistant. http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/disp...temnumber=95652 http://www.harborfreight.com/cpi/ctaf/Disp...temnumber=90899
