  1. What do you think they're going to say, "The stuff we don't carry is the best"? That's how they make a living...
  2. I'd almost be willing to bet that you have enough room to run multiple 8"s. Possibly four or more...
  3. No, it means you need an amplifier that is stable below 1 ohm. At .7 you'd probably be okay with any number of decent amplifiers...
  4. Cheapest one I could find: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=230458587716&rvr_id=&crlp=1_263602_263622&UA=%3F*I8&GUID=6f09d23e1270a041bae7f0f7ffe3fd6c&itemid=230458587716&ff4=263602_263622
  5. Here ya go. http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/showthread.php?t=20178
  6. I'm enjoying this build. I once saw pics of a sub mounted in the front passenger floorboard, but I've never seen someone do a glove box conversion...
  7. I ask myself that question all the time. Good stuff is still out there, you just have to dig through heaps of crap to find it...
  8. 8" Level 3's would be cool, but I just want the PAI's to return. I need some of them and zenon & formula x won't return my emails...
  9. Congrats. I've owned a Grand Cherokee Limited as well as a CJ7 and I loved both.
  10. My avatar has been the source of several comments on this forum. I don't get it. Have none of you guys watched horror movies? How can you not know what a chud is?
  11. I didn't really intend to call you out or anything. My comment was pretty much an admitted broad stroke. I guess if you're happy with it, that's what matters. Personally, I like my vehicles to look decent.
  12. Ummm, I'm pretty sure I had a post in this thread. I'm almost positive that I said "zenon builds nice amps". So, it's not cool to mention Sundown's affiliation with zenon? Really? Seriously?
  13. lol Yeah, it's awesome lulzerpops. Hahahaha That poor man's life being a living hell is totally cool lollerskates.
  14. As I said; "I'm not saying it can't be done, only that I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it". I'm sure the sub can handle the power, but things like that are application dependent. Just because it does well in application A doesn't automatically guarantee success for application B.
  15. You're definitely right, the $1,000 budget automatically eliminates the LMS Ultra. Even used ones are going to cost $750 or more...unless you find a hell of a deal. A pair of new Level 5's will be a little over your budget too....according the prices I was quoted at least. I don't think I'd be comfortable giving the XL 3,000+ watts daily. I'm not saying it can't be done, only that I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it.
  16. You could also try to find a pair of the older TC or Audiopulse LMS Ultra's. Those things were monstrous...
  17. The Heavyweight is a beast. RD had some horror stories about customer service and such not too long ago, but I hear they've changed ownership. Hopefully they'll handle their business now. Here's a link to their site (if you don't have it already): http://www.rdaudio.net/heavyweight/heavyweight.htm EDIT: The Heavyweight has a 3" coil too.
