  1. an 18? for daily music i would build 7-8 cubes. WTF are you talking about?
  2. looks good to me. thatl get plenty loud for "daily". what kinna car? that set up would get me in the relm of wanting more. if your not going to compete and strictly be a daily beater i would go with 4 cheaper 12s. itll take about the same air space with more cone.
  3. not if you tune right. the pioneers sound better in a little bigger box with bigger ports. i would go 2 cubes for the 12 net with 32 squares port area tuned at 36-38
  4. how much power? how much space are you willing to give up? i have an rexxx 18. gets low as hell but it needs a huge box. doesnt get supper loud but very liner. also it cant take a ton of power as i blew mine in a smaller box cracking about 7k to it.
  5. how does the port differ on size of the box? ive noticed the larger i go on the box the smaller ports yield better numbers.
  6. i see. off topic but why did rf stop making such a great sub?
  7. you may have tweeked the basket by tightening the basket too tight. pull the speaker out and see if you still have the sound during free air. EDIT: sorry. i didnt read the whole thing. where did you locate the eqs?
  8. your right. i was just implying to his lights dimming.
  9. the batteries a band aid an alt is the fix. although the battery will help with dimming lights if your planning on using a crap i mean cap.
  10. how much power did you put to it before you bottomed out?
  11. can you chop it out bigger? i would go around 64 square for your box and sub setup.
  12. a/c??? if its in good condition it would get scooped here quick.
  13. how much power you got and how much space you got?
  14. more cone or more power. also whats your definition of loud? if you wanna go by the meter then tune higher. if you wanna be a ground pounder tune as low as you are at now and add more powwa
  15. good luck bro. have fun with it.
  16. play with this it gets addicting shows the cuts youll need also. http://reaudio.com/speaker_box/LPort_Box_Calc.html just double up on airspace for 2 subs. or build one each. you can do whatever you like... fyi... by you wanting to go with slot port moves you away from the realm of manufacture specs.
  17. again its up to you... in my experience big sale pushing companies keep the box small to save warranty returns from customers not knowing limits. a bunch of us build boxes way out of the realm of specs and yield much better results. again its up to you. you should build test boxes to prove it to yourself. try building one to spec with the 2.75 and 4" port then try a 4.5 with slot port at ~14^2 per tuned to that 35hz.
  18. my god that sub has 4" voice coils?!? with the power your running i would go at least 4 - 4.75 net. up to you though.
