  1. I'm running the pioneer d series components at 200 RMS each side. Very nice sounding speakers. Tweeter plays lower than normal tweeters which brings up the vocals nicely when placed at the a pillars.

  3. what kind of power are you going to be running? i would go a little bigger on the box.

  5. crap. i talked to my friend... he has a 300 but not mechman... well. if this is how this alt is supposed to run im not going to pull it out for testing. ill get it clamped here and see what numbers are coming out of it.
  6. I always had a agm charger. The guy earlier doesn't know what I do or have. I'm not going to have a shit load of equipment and not have the brains to condition and up keep my equipment. I pulled my bank. It was and still to this day is just off of a single red top. Well if your saying it won't do anything under 750 rpm ill have to live with that. I still don't understand why my friends 300 amp idles at 13.6 at 600 rpm with a large bank. It just goes against everything your telling me which brings me to belive my alt is not working correctly. Let's imagine I know what I'm talking about. I know how hard that could be on fourms.

  8. No pix. It was the 120 main fuse that melted. I would raise the idle but being in a v8 1000 rpm pulls decent if I was at a stop on my brakes. Im wondering if this is normal or a bad alt. I have friends running 300s that idle 13.6 while mine idles like its not even there. When I'm on the gas I have it set to 14.8 on cold.
  9. No amps were loaded at the time. Just my rear speakers off my deck.
  10. The voltage was well in the 10s. That low voltage with any load designed for 12 volt will heat up faster than normal, yes? Volts x amps = watts So low volts need more amps for things to run right? The excessive draw is due from low voltage... The main fuse popped as in the only thing that worked which was surprising was my motor. Everything else was dead. Dash, lights, windows, ac. Is there an even smaller pully that would fit on this alt?
  11. Is this normal? Ok so I was hanging couple weeks ago on my way home so i decided to take a nap at the beach with my ac on at idle. My voltage dropped so low by an hour or so my main fuse melted from low voltage. What's up with that?
  12. No wall, electrical, deadening, stock alt. 4 lvl 5 18s on 11k and broken support bars everywhere. 153 @ 37 sealed. Now with wall on 2600 clamped 151.8 @40 sealed.
  13. The re xxx may take that power sealed. The 18s gave up at about 4k in a ported box and I've normally give more power to sealed, although I've never tried it in that sub.
  14. I would test that resistance first. If not that then swap the amp.
  15. Try checking your impedance from your front bat - to your - on your amp.
  16. They get peaky at 16 per. I went 12-13 on them to smooth it out and it sounds fine.

  19. I've done a budget build with 8 10" pioneers. 145 on 1000 watts before rise.
  20. fyi. cant run a single 5k at 1.4 on your coil configuration. .7 would be sweet though. what kind of car?
