i didnt spray them, I used a vinyl type film. came in a roll, was cheap, some kids asked me to tint theirs and i had leftovers so i figured id see. they look darker than they are in person... more of a light smoke. i like them, and yeah there's no way id do the reverse lights, i barely get any light from those anyway cause im stupid and put in LED bulbs for the coolness haha

So on the fence about this. The third brake light is tinted, i just did it today. looks cool. what i would do is the red part of the tail lights and leave the top clear. i think ima do it. anyone else rockin tinted tails?

To compliment the Acura TL Type S Front and Rear Sway bars I just did, I also installed a Greddy aluminum triple barrel strut tower brace. Kinda blurry but its right from the iPhone. Anyway I drove it around a bit, couldn't really notice much difference but that might be because I already had such a massive change in handling from the sway bars. Meh, its a mod, figured id share.

I had a chance to pull parts off a mint 2.4 L TSX engine the other day, and for those who don't know, the motor is basically identical to the 2.4 in the Honda Accord. The TSX has a bigger Intake manifold and different gaskets, injectors, ect. but basically the parts are interchangeable. So for 100 bucks I scored the entire intake manifold, all the P2R thermal gaskets and a P2R throttle body spacer. I'd love to install the spacer, its red, and will probably increase air flow slightly, and even if it doesn't, I like the whistle noise it makes. The problem i've run into, however, is that installing a 3/4'' TB spacer moves the throttle body upwards 3/4 of an inch, and my K/N CAI has no where to go. So I think the only option I really have here is to cut (I know it sounds stupid) about 3/4" off the bottom of the K/N pipe. It sucks to cut up something you just paid for but I don't really see other options. The K/N CAI is made for the car with its TB at stock position. What do you guys think? Would you cut your IM for a TB spacer? (BTW, on this particular engine, the addition of the P2R spacer and two thermal gaskets yields a 4 HP gain on the dyno, which is incredible for a 20 dollar mod, so if your gonna say "don't waste your time its not worth it", dont, lol)

WRONG?! dude the TL and Honda Accord are comprised of nearly identical bodies with different sheet metal. and the engines in the Acura TSX and the Honda Accords are EXACTLY the same. I know because my Accord has a TSX intake manifold, headers, throttle body and gaskets and TL-Type S sway bars, control arms and endlinks. So uh, theyre pretty much interchangeable as far as parts go. The honda badged cars are just watered down versions of the acura badged ones. Remember, Honda owns all of it. If you buy a part for your TL its gonna come in a little bag that says Honda on it not Acura. Anyway OP this is an incredible car. If you wanna go the performance route the engines in these things can absolutely scream if you open them up a bit and get all those restrictive components off there.

that wink thing is an interesting idea.. but i like my mirror... and it vibrates straight off its little track. sucks but i would hate to pop it off everytime i wanna slam the system or do a demo. plus my bluetooth mic is mounted up there.

the mount on my car stays on fine but the damn mirror itself bounces out of the clip. SO ANNOYING and it makes a really obnoxious noise when its bumping. ive been hit in the head twice with the mirror so far. i have no idea what to do to solve this problem. glue it into the mount?

nah that announcement was unofficial. its all speculation. they said july once too... and some Apple rep said the iphone will get a refresh in 2012 yesterday... so that rules out fall 2011 right there

but seriously, did anyone else see the Apple WWDC press conference the other day? What's the deal apple?! I've been waiting for about 6 months, holding off on the iPhone 4, barely keeping my 3Gs alive and this is how I'm rewarded! For those who don't know, typically (for the past 4 years anyway) Apple announces it's iPhone refresh in June at the WWDC. This time around though, no announcement. In fact NO new hardware was debuted. Only some software upgrades. And yes, they look pretty cool, but in no way do I think they replace an actual new product. I'm not exactly an Apple fanboy, more like a victim of circumstance. I bought a Mac cause everyone raved about them and I needed a notebook. I've always had an iPod (who hasn't really) and a few years back I jumped off the Blackberry bandwagon and onto the iPhone. I've always been happy with it, but I have to say, Apple keeps rolling out little updates that they should have had all along. I mean really, what kind of announcement is : "Mail will now support BOLD and ITALIC fonts." Thoughts?

On a 03-07 Honda Accord, the factory sway bars can be upgraded from the stock 13mm bars to much beefier Acura TL/TL Type S Bars. The upgrade is pretty simple, the Acura bars use the stock endlinks and bolts.... ..... unless your accord doesn't come with a rear sway bar. WHAT KINDA SHIT IS THIS. I bought the low trim level to save some crazy money back in 2007 and I thought I was just missing out on some leather seat nonsense and the "premium honda stereo" turns out that the VP (stands for value package) doesn't come with end links or a rear stabilizer bar at all. Interestingly, there are the appropriate mounting brackets, all the holes are pre-drilled, but there is just an empty spot where the stock sway bar should be. im pissed. now, instead of doing this job today, i'll have to wait another week or so to get the end links i just ordered. so all in all, not a catastrophe, more of an annoyance. oh well.
