ya i was just reading that thread . they were using 12 sa-8's tho...now to design a ported truck wedge i wont be able to give it much for port area but if it fails worse case scenario it wont take much to plug the port and be sealed

for 3 ported i need 1.8cf so it 4 sealed or 2 ported i know 2 ported wont be loud enough

anyone use sa-8 in a sealed box was wondering what would i expect because it is not recommended for non-ported applications . i want to run 4 8's in a sealed truck box off of 1600rms i would use the ev2-8 but they only handle 200 rms and im all about hard hitting bass

I have a customer that wants to put 4 sa-8 in a 1.4cf sealed truck enclosure i advised him that the e8vs was better for sealed but he needs more power handling so what might he expected for frequency response and out-put?

im using 2 aq1200d amp linked for 2950 rms at %10 distortion Im looking for killer low end bass what options should i get and how does the flatwind coil affect the sound it says its peaky but in what way like peaky all over or just a certain high tones? im wanting two bl 12"

so i built this box and put in a cheap concept sub to test out the sound while i wait for my ssd and wow i couldn't believe how hard it hit and low.. im never buying a prefab again!!!

i orders one ssd six days ago and was wondering what is the typical time till shipping for these woofers?

i had one amp that would do that to me in the past . It would work just great for days then pop but then it would just come right back and be fine for a while. mabye try to run a diff amp and see if it works

The SSD is a solid daily sub, one of the best in that price range. I personally wouldn't touch the new RE line ending in "X". Oh really is the day of the RE over??

i really want the fi ssd "800rms" but i only have 500 rms for this sub. runner up i would get the re se'x "600rms" what sub should i buy??

there are amps with a phase dial ??? news to me?? can u tell me who makes them this would a great amp for this project!! lol im pretty sure. now you got me questioning myself. what power rating are you looking at? well i would like to see 1000 - 1500 rms the ssd is a beast and i hear it only comes to life after its rms rating

it is a square port be definition so u must use a square port calculator not a slot port one but im sure it would sound great is done right

i want to run a separate amp mabye a sundown or aq for my 10 ssd and keep my audsion on my 12"s the 10 is a center console and the 12"s are behind my seat?? will the two amp have timing issues i did not have good results last time i tried but it was over ten years ago

the sub would be in a bad location unless i flipped the box but then the port will be blowing on my arm and ash tray . will i lose performance by having my sub away from the port like this?
