  1. Just wrong, but definately chuckled a bit.
  2. Most any of your newer sideways engine mounted cars are out of the question. Big Body cars and fullsize trucks and suvs are what you need.
  3. lol.... i dont know... maybe sundown sa-8... Where have you been? I see shit on these forums every day about 8's and every time the sa-8 comes up... better check them out!
  4. I can confirm this also, I would be leary of that 5902. It is might expensive to replace that transmitter if you accidentally do her in and the battery life is
  5. I have contemplated 16 8's on my tahoe... just really loses out to 6 15's in cone area...
  6. All you have to do is apply a higher than accepted voltage. That wall socket idea may be a bit overkill, but as long as I am not the one hooking it up, I am game. I would love to see a video or view from a safe distance
  7. I don't think there is anything wrong with them. I don't like really bright mids and highs... it tests my last nerve
  8. Wow! too hard to choose... In no particular order. Forrest Gump Goodfellas NL's Christmas Vacation Blow Dont be a Menace...
  9. You cant need it too bad. Looks like you already bought the subs
  10. I am going to say no, nO, and NO. The coils heat up almost instantly when large power is applied. The radiated heat from the coil heats the motor. Review: Coils first and then Motor. Now, the next fact is that most high quality coils that we find in our favorite high end subs can handle more heat than a neo magnet. Why is that coil going to go out first? The heat exchnage going on inside the motor is obviosuly a more more complex reaction that has many more variables involved. A motor holds residual heat much much longer, but also takes longer to heat up. (the reasons which makes daily applications tricky) I would like to see a battery of tests with thermal imaging equipment while serving up different drivers, enclosures, power levels, tones, and musical samples.
  11. Mybe you guys should look into Sundown, if Jacob's plans come out, that 3" Coil will be 100% reality.
  12. So these are going to be more affordable. What percentage cheaper could we expect? 20-30%?
  13. Sundown SAZ1500Dv.2 are still on preorder I believe. 4 of those will have you right where you want to be. They are available online, but there is also local dealers. Where do you live?
  14. In most cases, electrically, 22awg is fine for a remote wire, but its physical strength is lacking due to the abuse during installation and the auto environment in general. I know a competitor who is leading in his class that ran a 50amp toggle switch and an 8awg remote becuase he swore it made a difference... I told him he had confounding variables and he thought I was referring to his alleged STD and became a little flustered. This is part of the reason I don't compete....
  15. North Part of the State has two shops that sell Sundown.
  16. Who else besides me thinks it is time to see the AA/FI/SSA factory in Vegas where the SMD is made? It is just a hop, skip, and a bump from Reno...
  17. Ok, I guess, to me, larger means more powerfull as in lower Qts and smaller box....
  18. What exactly are you saying? I dont have a problem buying both and doing my own comparo if that is what it takes, but I prefer not to. The are no specs, pictures, or spl results that would indicate which sub i would like better. I was looking more for real world testimony. I was bored and havent seen much talk of either these... if nothing else, I thought I could at least get a bunch of fans talking up what they have and use. Yes, I am certain that the "larger motor" on the Z will allow it to be optimized in a smaller box than the havoc. I am wrong? Is that what you are saying?
  19. Both subs are referred to as SQL subs.... This coming from the manufacturers. I have heard the Havocs numerous times and I like them, but I have had little experience with any sundown subs. I know how to use power. I can't tell you the last time I burnt a sub.
  20. I will be using a saz3500 per pair. Going with the 15's. I have my own opinions based on the specs, but i want some more opinions from the vast pool of knowledge on the forums. The Havocs are certainly cheaper, but I dont mind too much. I bet the Z's are better for spl, but the havocs play deep effortlessly. The more powerfull motor allows the Z to work in a smaller box. The havocs cone is dead sexy, but the Z motor dominates the stock looking motor on the Havoc.
  21. Yeah, uderstand the cheaper point of view. As long as it works. BTW, all Audiopipe wire that I have ever seen has been CCA...
  22. C4C execution... What a waste! Just another example of the US goverment fucking the little guy. America is against small business whether you like it or not...
