  1. i likey you do amazing work man, we all learn somewhere i learn by watchin you, bill and greg lol ps i wrote u back bout the 6th order any comments would be appriciated
  2. U can't stack the design I have u? u would loose 1 inch by combiningthe box's together! So instead of 11.5 it would be 20 ish, I think if u made the port 6inches wide, and 9 inches tall, then double that u would prolly be perfect one sub above the the other
  3. ahhh yes he is wize i watch his posts sold him my rainbows good guy!
  4. then it might work no problem
  5. yea greg, in salinas ca he had something like 4 7ks
  6. i would think cancellation with the 2 in the back
  7. Ray loud lol other Ray dchoe 4 18s 157 ish and greg audio inovations 2 sub 160+
  8. yes the port is 5x10 the same as the sd spec of the sub, and the 5x10 port area is 88 inches long bent back and forth with the sub and port firing the same direction right next to each other, thats what helps make it so efficent, the port and sub both push forward and back at the same time im pretty sure thats how it works
  9. ^^^^ exactly great for budget builds same as bandpass in the aspect as tuning to 40 doesnt mean it wont play down low without a problem
  10. i really doubt that trunk is big enough for 3 15s how can we help you with out max box demensions!!!!
  11. i would go with the sa or the dc for that price tho
  12. im not sure my mind really is just sceamin 88" long but thats not exact its around 88 honestly +/- a couple inches either way would still be ok when i end up putting them together i assemble the shell with one side going towards the middle, and assemble the rat maze in the middle after too then, so its easier to work inside the box, then when i screw the final inside maze down, i silicone it in place with scrrews because i resin, paint, bondo, wood filler, them all seperate, cuz the port is 5"x10" makin it a little small for all that work if the box was completely together.
  13. am i the only one who thought this was fuckin harlious? might have to go in my sig no offense to orion after reading ur other post ray, it almost seems like the basket would be ur problem, allthough i too have had the shiny part come off on a lvl 5 12 surround, i wish the carbonfiber cones would be out problem solved (i think the surround to cone would be much stronger), cuz i mean the shiny paper looks so much better than the flat black paper cone, espically after that paper comes off its ugly as fuck haha but at the same time EVERY SUB HAS ONE WEAK POINT everything does and typically its only gonna be as strong as that weakest point! thats what happens with 7000 RMS maybe people who havent played with amps over 7000 RMS should shut up
  14. my freind beats the crap outta that poor lil sub everyday man even clipping it to hell with bad music it handles buisness, maybe he had to much power to it, or tuned under the fs of the driver (port was too long) only reason i say this is ive caught dude changing the settings on the amp and had the amp maxed out and had the filters completely off! of course the bass boost was at 12db+also maxed out
  15. i wonder how the sa would work, i dont know tho cuz the fs of the dc is so much lower great for tlines imo the lil rasta one wants
  16. sorry its real short we installed it pretty late so i didnt do much after that
  17. hmm thats ha to say i dont think many have put them in 4th orders, i may have to try this a few times, what ratio are you doing 2:1 ? i would say jeez least .3 sealed and .6 per (ported)
  18.     when i break my subs it my fault corona couldnt have said it better high power applications can go south real fast, its like going 150 its just not that fast a lot of cars can do it! going 200 thats a feat which takes a real car maybe we should start a chant Rusty Rusty Rusty Rusty
  19. this is why i love DC rusty ur the man!
  20. Thanks it means alot when people say I do nice work..... I try
  21. the plexi is silicone'd in and its less than a 1/4" think no flex cuz its braced every 5 inches because of the zigzag of the port so no flex here! i counter sank the the screws in with a big dirll bit, then small holes threw with a little one to old the finish wood screws that will get painted colors to match each box (black on the blue one and green yellow and red on the rasta one) when im down and the trim is done completely 3/4 inch plexi gets expensive fast! im gettin a 1 inch peice thats 25x42.5 gonna cost me 300+ it pays to have a one off plexi box tho i cant wait
  22. couple more pics and ill get a video of em playing 40 hz this box only needs some finish trim and a little bit of touch up paint i want to print a sticker with dc audio with rasta colors to put on the dustcap to really set it off couple more of the blue one, with the black finished outside awaiting trim, the other 2 leds, and yes im gonna pull the blue shit outta the middle, was just playin around wit the air movement vids tommarow i think i have to back in my car and hook it up to the 1.2 otherwize we wont here any music
  23. You can tune to above the fs of the sub, but tuning below will cause the sub to unload and they still play plenty loud tuned to a lil under 40 But don't quote me on this, I only read and tried it
  24. both are dc 8s one just has a carbon fiber cap, that i cut to fit when i reconed it i beleive fs is 35.8 but i may be off a lil thats off the top of my head boxes were tuned to under 40 hz if i could, i believe one is 88 inchs long not quite sure on the other
