  2. merlon audio... it says 3 to 5.. but not quite sure what to go with...i might consider 8 15's.. not sure if i got room for it.. gonna do a wall.
  3. anyone have an opinion on cu ft per sub for 15's.. i have no limit...got 2 now going with 4 later down the road...
  4. 12-16in of port area per sqft rule? this is the kind of information i want to read up on... i have the torres calculator...care to show me where to find more info on port area?
  5. make the prototype first, see how it works out, if it turns out the way you like it, then get it patented per say for 20 years... you'll be good then...but still gotta have the prototype first
  6. from my experience dealing with sub box directional firing, i've done every trick in the book except for the sealing off/wall type set up. The loudest and cleanest bass output was subs up port towards the back seat with seats folded down, it made a huge difference in output level and clarity. give it a shot but you'll have to build another box for that to hear the difference
  7. if you want spl, start out with a prefab box, they usually are pretty close to the recommend specs for the subs you're wanting to get...but if you want pure spl then one way to learn is download torres calculator, it'll give you all the dimensions for your box including port size. There are lots of info on building a box, i built mine living in an apartment, i cut all the pieces inside and glued/screwed them together and bought 2 4" aeroports.. Sounds good for the lows.
  8. dude just build one ported and seal it off from the trunk.. that will get you loud...
  9. i can get a sundown saz 1500 for 320
  10. i can sell you 2 kicker cvx's for 200 plus shipping...
  11. oh well if you only got a year left, then fuck it, get that bish in and haul ass, the worse that can happen is you blowing shit up in the car, i.e. windows subs, amps.. lol
  12. start off with a small system that doesn't require an alt upgrade..., but if you do upgrade its the risk you take with a new car, mine is new, i'm still searching for an upgrade, i'm not worried about my warranty
  13. well it just all depends on what coils he does have like kranny said, but i did read something said that one was single voice coil while the other was a dual??? dunno but doesn't sound good tho.. but the dude is right, mrp350 is too weak for the subs...
  14. well i know that but alpines.. ya know isn't my style.. they tend to get hot , i rather buy something that can handle ..
  15. good point teamht, kranny always likes to bug me anyways so let him bug and be so superman about his status, i think its funny to read his remarks about me
  16. the link is a nice amp, but look at the efficiency rating..65% thats too low for a monoblock, find one that does 75 to 90 % efficiency
  17. ok the subs are rated at 350 watts rms since you have a pair you need 750 watts , so a rf 1000 will do, or a alpine mrp 1000 so between 750 to 1000 watts will do the amp you have will push one of the subs..and it also depends on how you have them wired too but that amp is capable of only doing 2 ohm load, so you need a 1 ohm stable
  18. get sundown saz 2000
  19. lol of course they will fluncuate like crazy, disconnect them from the amp and test the reading like everyone else above said...
  20. lol he says it tuned to 35 hz?? with just a square hole? crazy but silllllllly
  21. damn i need to trade my car , for a suv, can't seem to get an alternator made for my damn malibu.. mother f$%ka lol might swap out cars in the next few weeks
  22. no he said 40 dollars per fuse holder one for each battery, then one for the big 3, thats 3 total, i got my fuse holder for 10 bucks, and the fuses for 3 dollars each.. lol
