  1. You could put a lip on each side of the seat and sort of sandwitch it together with screws. And then wrap the cabin side with cloth to mach your seat color. I would plug your box and port dimensions into torres to make sure of tuning though. Edit: Didnt see 4th order in there. I don't know if torres will calculate a 4th order
  2. Get some red wings. I had a pair for 6 years and they went through hell. Hiked 15 miles a day for 30 days in them and then worked in them for 5 more years until i blew a seam in them. best pair of boots I've ever had.
  3. Epix has a 14 day free trial for the 360. Some good movies on there. Best part is no credit card required. Download it from the app store then go to their website and sign up and activate your xbox from the website. It'll give you a code that you have to put in on your 360 and its smooth sailin after that. Just thought I'd let you guys know

  7. I bought a 2000 ford focus a couple of weeks ago. It has a 2.0L DOHC 4 cylinder in it. It sat in my garage for a couple of weeks until I could get insurance on it. I got insurance on it a couple days ago and started driving it. It ran fine for about 2 hours. I got it home to park it and noticed it was idleing rough. took it around the block and noticed that it would some times hesitate to go... sometimes it almost seemed like it was chugging along. The engine light came on so I took it to autozone and had the do a diagnostic check. They said I was having a cylinder 3 misfire. I checked to make sure the plug wires were in the right order and they are. I replaced the spark plug and plug wires, and gapped the plug to .050 like its sposed to be, but the problem is still there. Basically the question is what do you guys think the problem could be? I think it could possibly be an injector or maybe the coil pack? thanks ahead of time
  8. Are you using Torres calculator? Also 3.5 cubes tuned to 32hz seemed to be the sweet spot for mine. What kind of power are you going to be pushing it with?
  9. Any one happen to have links to said build logs?
  10. what do you mean "separating the output from the subwoofer and the port"? from the pictures he has shown, it may work quite well. but i'd honestly wait for the real enclosure guru's to chime in. I think he is talking about the issue I had, the air from the port was entering the car before the air movement from th cone, and thus not loud. I'm confused... would the sub being to close to the port cause this?
  11. I'm not sure if this will work so opinions are welcome. I have a 15" Fi ssd which will be powered by a kenwood 9104d. This will go in a 95 grand prix. The seats dont fold down but the arm rest does an I want to port through the arm rest. Here is a pic of the trunk where you can see the arm rest hole. ( Yes the wiring and amp have been cleaned up.) Here is a screen shot of torres calculator And here are a couple pics of the box in sketch up Do you guys think this will work? Is the sub going to be to close to the port? I was also thinking of doing a 4th order box ported through the arm rest hole. Would this work? Would I see any more output than the first box?
  12. You will still need to use an inline fuse holder on the wire that runs from the alt positive to the battery positive. Like others have said you dont need to up grade the wire that runs to the fuse box, but you can if you want to.
  13. Thanks kranny for the explanation. Thanks to everyone else to. This is what I like about smd. You can get answers without all the bullshit. Edit: kranny your avi is crazy. Looks like that hurt
  14. So I recently sold my car and my head unit with it. So I'm in need of a new one. the two I'm looking at are the Kenwood KDC-348U and the Kenwood Excelon KDC-X395 . the 348U has 2.5 volt pre amp outputs and the X395 has 4 volt pre amp outputs. My question is will the a noticeable difference between 2.5 volts and 4 volts? Is it worth the extra $10 to get the X395?
  15. ^ This. Alienware tends to be really overpriced. HERE is a link to cyberpowerpc. They are fairly priced and know what they are doing. Ive had good experience with them along with most of my family. Of course the cheapest way to go is to build your own if you have the know how. I'm sure if you sent Techforce a pm on here he could also help you.
  16. Thank for the responses. Wasn't trying to knock Fi. Everyone of their products that Ive had experience with has been excellent. As far as the ssd that I have being universal I have no clue. It was bought off of a guy on here and he hasn't been on since January. Just was wondering if a recone from D2 to D1 was possible without the universal option. Guess I'll just have to keep looking for a D1 then.
  17. That would be awesome If I could do that. It would be nice to save money and buy a used ssd... especially since Fi isnt making regular ssd's anymore. Although neo ssd's would be sweet money is tight. Anyone else??
  18. So Ive been looking around trying to find a twin for my ssd and am having a hard time finding a D1 sub. Fi's website says that if you don't get the universal option they "optimize" the motor for your specific ohm choice. Is this just some marketing hype to make you buy another sub? Or can I buy a D2 sub without the universal option and recone it to a D1?I guess I just don't understand how they "optimize" the motor for a specific ohm load. Do the charge the magnet more or less to get get certain ohm loads?
  19. Decaf definitely makes some badass songs. Its all I bump in my car. Thanks Decaf
  20. Its all good. I thought the same thing when I first heard about them too. OP: It really all comes down to choice. Most of the time you wont notice a difference in speed between the 2 companies. Also they both cost roughly the same but intel does tend to be a little more expensive. The price difference can be as little as $50. The only big difference is that you cant use nvidia's sli technology with amd motherboards ( unless you buy one of the higher end "fusion" motherboards). Intel motherboards are a little different in that you can use sli or crossfire. If you need help choosing products or building a computer there are several people on this forum that could help you with it. Also you could go HERE to get help
