  1. If you know any dealers that may be interested just point them in my direction. My dealers are quite satisfied with the service they get
  2. Oh no, it won't be nearly as expensive as the 3000D. It'll be about in the middle between the 1500 and 3000.
  3. Final pricing is TBA. I have not yet accounted for the new style heat-sink and any other potential changes I may make before the first production run.
  4. There will be plenty to go around once they are released, don't worry
  5. It will say "Sundown Audio" on the cap. The pics are just a proto and they usually don't get printed logos
  6. The 2000D is a priority for sure but I had a huge surge in demand for SAZ-1500Ds (big thanks to my MECA guys) so I am bringing in several hundred for stock (all with the new style heatsink too), that set me back a bit on introducing the 2000D. No worries, though, the 2000D will be released as soon as possible.
  7. They are rated 1500 RMS and perform very well as such. You don't NEED to have a billion watts for them to work well Chad Hicks did some testing on the proto and put 4500 watts on it for 30 seconds without issues: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...p;hl=nightshade So they CAN handle more than rated if necessary.
  8. Correct. Contact a dealer or local rep for best pricing: http://www.sundownaudio.com/us.html
  9. T/S Specs: 12" Model D1 Coils: Qts = 0.40 Qms = 6.83 Qes = 0.43 Fs = 43 Hz VAS = 11.7 L Le = 1.4 mH (series) Re = 1.59 ohms (series) BL = 17.6 N/A 15" Model D1 Coils: Qts = 0.48 Qms = 9.33 Qes = 0.51 Fs = 40 Hz Vas = 36.7 L Le = 1.36 (series) Re = 1.44 ohms (series) BL = 15.27 N/A They are also available in D2 coils. T/S vary slightly but not enough to really effect box requirements. These are "daily SPL" woofers -- they will also put up pretty respectable figures on the meter but were made primarily to be loud daily.
  10. Thanks to Chad Hicks for posting pics of the first two out there: "Well in order to have these subs for a team member for the show Jake was nice enough to drop these off on his way through my neighborhood. So these aren't mine, but they will be getting installed tonight by me hopefully I believe these are the first of the subs to be delievered so me > j00 pics Awesome packing material "
  11. http://www.lanzar.com/specials/citempage.asp?sku=OPTI1000.1D These are Zed built / designed amps from several years ago.
  12. I don't have one off hand, but hopefully one of the guys will post one up! I'll request one on the *** forum.

Robbie Wyatt in MECA Kids. They use Power Wheels for the systems 142.1 dB!
  14. What organization is that for ? In any event, the 4 ohm rating will be ~450-500 watts for the SAZ-2000D. I don't have a good ETA for it yet. It was delayed a bit to strengthen inventory on existing models.
  15. The original thread is here: http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/i...showtopic=16429 For those wanting to follow along!
  16. 1) What does this compare to? I'd say it would compare well to the Tang-Band 8" but with more low-end output, especially sealed. It also has better thermal power handling due to having basket windows and a directly vented gap. With Sean's help we did burps on it with 800 watts and he still runs the proto daily with around 400-watts in a tiny bandpass box. 2) How high do they extend? They will pretty easily reach 100 - 200 Hz, perhaps as high as 500 Hz inductance-wise but there are probably dust-cap breakups around that area. 3) So what is the final depth? 4.25" 4) How much power do they REALLY handle? 200-watts is very conservative. This is a 4-layer copper winding coil with an aluminum former -- the motor has a pole vent and direct gap vents, combined with spider plateau vents on the basket. Needless to say it has some real thermal potential. In all but the smallest box requirements 200-watts will suffice to sound good, but I would suggest having a 300-400 watt amp "on tap" for the smallest recommended sizes. They are more mechanically limited than anything. Linear x-max by magnetics is 12mm one-way, 20mm before bottoming out, and the spider/surround limit the driver to around 16-18mm one-way raw throw. --- The production model will have a black basket. --- Final T/S are TBA -- the recommended enclosures are as follows: Sealed Box Specs: 0.185 ft^3 - 0.250 ft^3 F3 = ~55 Hz Ported Box Specs: 0.50 ft^3 - 0.75 ft^3 Tuning = 30 - 35 Hz --- Pre-Sale price will be $65 shipped in the continental 48 states once ordering is opened up. Production is nearly complete, ordering will open when a solid ETA is available.
  17. "Just thought I'd post a few pics of my build thats about 45% done. Few Pics of the Van The enclosure: Test fit of the subs I have ripped up the plywood that was bolted to the floor and romoved the back seat. Need to fill the screw holes and tint my windows before I put my enclosure in. When I put the enclosure in I will brace it with 2x4's all the way around." He currently plans to use two SAZ-3000Ds for power.
  18. "I just thought that I would post the results of our team from this past weekend's MECA event in E-town, KY. I didn't get any good pics from the show because it was cold and I was to busy trying to stay warm. Corey Mitchell 1st place in Drive-by 1 with a 120.3 30 second average 6 feet outside of the car. 22. Wow! Have never seen anything like that before! Glad the amp is okay, though! I usually buy bulk LittelFuse brand fuses, work very well
