  1. Lots of things going on around here have resulted in an e-mail backlog again. Started around the 14th of January -- some e-mails scattered around from then until now need responding. So if you are waiting thanks for the patience and I'll catch up as soon as I can.
  2. It says that in the manual -- all amps meet spec at 12.8v or less.
  3. 1.5 to 2 cubes is a good size.
  4. Not yet -- I haven't brought any in yet for spare parts.
  5. Looks good It is pretty hard to hurt the SA subs -- take a look at some other customer builds / testing : http://www.soundsolutionsaudio.com/forum/topic/47179-sundown-sa-series-win-thread/
  6. Customers are generally (99% of the time) very happy with them.
  7. The audioque 3500 is rated 4300wrms@1 ohm...... The sundown is "rated" 3500wrms@1ohm. For reference : http://www.caraudioclassifieds.org/forum/showpost.php?p=797104&postcount=23 The second set of terminals is not needed at that power level -- just makes some folks feel good.
  8. IMO they would have no problems mixing... far as I can tell the cone is the same but with a full size cap with a negligible mass difference, the spider is the same but with wider leads, and the frame spacing was done differently. None of which should alter T/S significantly. Unless the coil or motor changed in a non-visible fashion they should mix fine.
  9. Can you give me the info on where I need to send it to. Thanks! Shoot me an email : [email protected]
  10. It's possible -- the motor is weaker but you have a softer spider and much less mass. It will depend on application and what the specific box likes if that actually causes a gain or loss.

  12. The "SPL Ratio" of the two is actually identical between the two (Motor force factor / MMS) and the TREO has a softer spider. I'd expect maybe a bit more SPL per watt from the TREO from the softer suspension but I am confident it will be no match in thermal or mechanical durability vs. the SA
  13. My paypal = my email address; you can pay at any time this weekend.
  14. Our amps have a 2-year warranty provided it is a product defect of some kind -- in any event, we can test it out here and determine if replacement / repair is needed since you purchased it within this period.
  15. The amount of cross sectional area on the legs is nearly identical to the 12-spoke we use now, actually.
  16. I see a question about us; SAZ-4500D was made at an alternate build house to our other amps. This is correct.
  17. I need to test the samples first

  21. Will be updating this as we move along building one of each. The copper coil is STANDARD on all new Z v.2 woofers -- it replaces the old 4-layer aluminum coil. Each one will be relatively fresh with ~5 minutes of break-in time playing low frequencies on our bench 1500D. Stock 2 Spider Suspension on each model with the standard 4-layer round wire biflair copper coils.
