  1. http://www.carstereo.com/help/Articles.cfm?id=31 This is what I always use, it give me a good ballpark estimate
  2. My sub box is carbon fiber instead of fiberglass. As said above, I would not want to directly inhale the dust, mild exposure is probably ok, but I wouldn't want to breath dust from anything I am sanding. Second, Don't expect to get all the lines nice and straight, unless you go through with a toothpick and straighten them. The best way i have ever seen to apply resin, if you have excess resin, is to lay out some plastic on the ground. Lay out the cloth weave, either carbon or fiberglass. Then, pour resin onto the fiber and roll it out with a roller [a metal roller wont absorb resin and wont leave lint]. Flip and repeat, voila, you have a saturated piece of cloth and it helps keep the lines straight. [This is an industrial method for wetting out fiberglass and carbon fiber pipeline repair kits]. I can answer lots of questions probably, carbon fiber vs. fiberglass was one of my extended essays my senior year.
  3. Some of the power acoustiks i have installed have been way over rated, but the gothic series has been pretty good to me so far. I put my friends OV2 800 on an oscilloscope and it put out 350 watts bridged with almost no distortion, and at about 440 watts the distortion was not horrible, but it was clipped. It has gotten a little warm on us, but never shut off or any problems yet.
  4. rockford wiring wizard
  5. That look so sick!!!! probably ridiculous pricing
  6. I used to have a similar situation. I built a box and it wouldn't fit into my trunk, so I stuck it into the back seat. I then built another box with the same specs and got it ino my trunk. In the backseat, it didn't sound as loud, but everyone said they could hear me further away. In the trunk it is much louder, but I can't be heard from as long of distances anymore. Just make sure the box is secure or it will be a missile in a car accident.
  7. It's becoming popular here in Oklahoma. I like it, but most people overlook it since it isn't a mainstream artist
  8. Stunners - Sonny Rich
  9. My car is still fine over a year later. Soon, for the sake of not using all my amps when i'm just cruisin on the highway, i'm going to run individual remote wires off the HU [mines factory] and put a switch on each wire to control each amp individually.
  10. thats how mine is with three in a row
  11. you're gonna need a ton of bracing as well as port area and port displacement. you may be able to do three in a line across, but i'm pretty sure two 18" btl on 2-4k each, in a properly built wall, will get plenty loud.
  12. I installed my friends 2 12" kicker comps in a memphis pre-fab box with about 400 rms for the pair and all I can say is good luck stopping the trunk rattle if you point the subs back. I measured about a 6 cubic foot for the max, the trunk isn't just enormous, but the opening is pretty much the whole trunk so it's easy to slide a big box in. Since it has fold down seats [i'm pretty sure] you could seal it from the trunk with port and sub facing front. depends if you want to focus on SQ, if not then just dont worry about it and slap a big box in there and point subs and port back. Since you still want to use your trunk somewhat, I would go with either sub up port forward, or sub and port forward with about a 4 cube box and the 15"
  13. i used a metal cylinder for a sealed enclosure for some 3" inch computer speakers. I used one of the giant cans of Monster and cut the top off, i kno it was ghetto but i was bored. [nice flex of the can by the 3" woofer]

  16. Just a quick observation, but has anyone else noticed that the words "remix" and "Lil Wayne" have become synonymous?[sp?] not tryin to hate, I think most of his stuff is good, but is he just on everyone's remix because producers think it will sell better? its becoming a turnoff for me. Maybe it's just me, has anyone else noticed this?
  17. are these your only brands? cause otherwise look at Fi and DC, good prices, and according to everyone else, great service.
