Actually it quite isn't .5 I took the dmm and it reads .7 Still running strong at full tilt. The weird thing is my amp will not get hott. Warm yes. I'm actually getting a new batt soon so hopefully the voltage drop isn't so harsh (14.3-12.7) I would put this on the same category as overpowering subs if you have everything set right you should be fine. But I'm using at my own risk and know what a 300 dollar paper weight will look like. Lol but hey its car audio and we change set ups every year

You won't be dissapointed. I got a lvl 4 m2 also and it s awesome for daily i haven't found a song that it doesnt play well too. Once I get my electrical beefed up I'm getting another one.

Yeah I'm using a DMM. I'm going to play low volumes till I get a battery for the rear. 11.1v is low dude! If I saw low 12s with mine I'd prbly wire it to 2ohms

In the next week ill prbly get a new battery. Is there a spot in the forum that people put up barely used batts?

You guys don't need to get all upset. I appreciate both sides either to run .5 or not. My electrical is handling it just fine. I just didn't know how much of a jump .5 is that's all. So if I blow my amp that's my bad. I'm not thousands of dollars in like some of you. If it blows ill just buy another amp and play it safe till the electrical is better. Problem solved.

I don't get how I'm only pushing 200 watts even if my amps voltage drops to mid 12s. Well if so that's the hardest hitting 200 watts I've seen lol

Well I was using a fi bl at 1ohm and the DC lvl 4 at .5 and it is noticeably louder.sound a lot better too.

Put my system in at .5 and everything is fine voltage is the same as 1ohm, amp gets Luke warm after about 10-15mins. So I guess the optima yellow top is fine for 1200 watts.

so my DC lvl 4 just arrived and i hurried up and put it in my truck ;D i played a couple of songs( didn't want to piss off the neighbors) and even tho im not going 100% because first its 115 out, but ive been always taught to break stuff in when its new. im very impressed so far! it put a huge smile on my face and im not even going all out. if you guys can show me how to upload a video ill post one. im going to wait till it gets cooler outside to play it some more ;b Thanks Rusty! you have a happy customer thats definitely coming back. Could it be mechanical noise from the sub? If he's playing lower than what we can hear. Cause you kinda get that flap noise when you free air a sub.

Isn't decaf bass boosted? So the song it self is clipped. Especially if your using your bass boost on the amp?

I bought a dual 1 ohm sub. The sub that was in my truck is dual 2 ohm. Time to upgrade alternator
