I made my plexi box myself. Not too hard. Just time consuming. You can see in the pictures above that there are only two amps in the plexi box. I had to take it out when I got three amps because there was not enough room for all of them.

They were 5500 DVC 12's. I put a 152 on the board with em in a sealed box.

I got my sub box plans from Ray. I was a little lost. I had never ported a sub box before. The box was built to the specs given to me by Ray which was 6 cu. ft. tuned to 36 hz. The two 2006 XXX RE 12's slammed in this thing. Ray took the time to even tell me and show me a diagram on how it should look. Made it easy. Box building for dummies if you will. Ray, I really appreciate you taking the time to come up with the dimensions and I will highly reccommend you to anybody looking for help in the car stereo realm. Thanks-Adam

I am pretty sure these are correct. These are the bypasses for Pioneer. Pioneer Avic N-1. You have to solder two points together on the bottom side of the head unit underneath the void sticker, and ground the ebrake wire somewhere other than the ebrake. Pioneer Avic N-2. You have to ground the ebrake wire somewhere other than the ebrake and I think the bypass involves using two wiring harnesses and some splicing and cutting to do it. Not sure. Pioneer Avic N-3. You have to ground the ebrake wire somewhere other than the ebrake and peel off the void sticker on the bottom of the unit and flip the switch under there. Pioneer Avic Z-1. Ground out the ebrake wire somewhere else and when turning the unit on and the startup script appears on the screen of the Z-1, flip your parking lights on and then off and it should enable you to use the functions while driving, or you could buy the little device from a car audio shop to install it permanently like I did. Not sure on the other Pioneer sources. I found these out when I was looking into buying a Pioneer. I decided to get the Z-1.

glad you could make it!!! you sound like me ive been into this since about the time i twisted a bunch of different wires (diff types too lol) together and made a speaker play in my room all the way from my dads stereo in the other room. I was about 9 i think. Been hooked since! I remember wondering why i could always make my dads stereo (home reciever) go into protect even though the wires werent touching. I mean i only had about 8 speakers (diff types again lol) hooked up in parallel Dont all recievers run best at .00001 ohms? ;D Hey i didnt know Actually Dog, or CPL i should say, you are MY hero.....anyone who is brave enough to put that uniform on in this day and age is someone i look up to. I am subscribed. I like the fabrication articles also. I also like to read up on the new products out there, I just don't know why they always use the highest costing products out there. Only a select few people can afford some of that stuff. It is like they are targeting the upper class people or something when most middle class people are the ones reading the magazine, not to offend anyone or anything. I don't have that much money myself.

Spoke to Dan...Extremely helpful and knows his stuff. I did not get to talk long to him considering I am in Japan and he wanted to put me on hold. He had like 7 more calls to answer or something. Anyways, I sent him an email and I will probably call him back soon, and work out all the stuff I need to get my Explorer's altitude a little lower to the Earth on demand.
