In my opinion, plexi windows > invert. For the op. As for the bullshit purfecty keeps bringing up, there are only so many variables in a single install. You say, 'but it's not the same, variables this, variables that!' but just because he's inverting the woofer doesn't mean the box design has changed or he's going to use a different amp. What a team is saying, one of the loudest competitors out there, is if done correctly regular mounting will be better. You're saying it can't be proven, but a team and many others have tested it. Search for tests or do them yourself if you dont believe him. You can't beat a dead horse repeatedly saying it can't be tested therefore his point is null.

You can pick up 250s for like 1200 all day long if they are 05s and 06s. I personally started on a 750, and would never want anything smaller then a 600. First bike I ever rode was an 1100...as 98crew said, imo a 600 is a good bike for a bigger guy. Im 6 foot athletic body style and 600 is minimum i go. I knew that, like with anything I want/do its go big or go home. I am one of those guys that if I would have started with a 250 id be kicking myself in the ass 2 weeks later wanting something bigger. If you're worried about it and dont want much power go for a 250. OR take a riding class and get comfy with a 600. Imo, theres nothing worse then wasting money on a 250 if you have any doubt that you might want something bigger.

Old thread but were looking to be building this tower soon. I was told building my crossovers would be cheaper and better quality, but ice never attempted that, so any help finding some tweeters would be awesome. Also, any suggestions on cheap receivers with 3-5 channels to power the mods and highs would be great. I've never been big into home audio before, so my knowledge is definitely lacking. I dot mind a used receiver as long as it's not total shit and puts out clean power. As for sound quality, we use like 4 terrible radios in the differed sections, so anything would sound better. I just want decent sound and as loud as I can get. Currently were gonna add the sub and sub amp separately when I have the cash. Thanks again for any help.

Gonna bump this for help finding some crossovers...not exactly sure what to look for when it comes to db slope, etc. Also, ray the midrange drivers you linked me, as for the tower I'm building for them, do i need to seal them or give them a certain amount of air? As for powering the speakers, would I be better off using a plate amp or do the receivers put out clean power? Thanks again for the help.

And worse comes to worse I can add the sub later if it pushes my budget too far.

Mtm as in mid/tweeter/mid? Minimum 12" was the decision, but 15" should do. Will sealed be better then a tline or ported you think? Also, any suggestions on equipment specifically? <3

Hey guys, I work in a very open "showroom" that's probably around 500-1000 square feet at least. We run two shitty radios in there now and are wanting something a ton louder. Since it's such an open area, I am not worried about sound quality, just the loudest we can get for the cheapest as I'm paying for it for work and work alone. I'm thinking an fi x and three tweeters and mids. My question is what kind of speakers should I be looking for? I've heard pa speakers are the way to go in this situation, but want to get some opinions. I have no problem adding more speakers/tweeters just need some suggestions. Links would be fine to suggestions too. I'd say I want it well under $500 with the amps and it all. Thanks for any help. I think one tower now will work for sure

I believe he had to modify his rear deck to do that and those were shallower subs then xls. I have the same civic and it's not possible by my measurements for stacked motor subs.

These are easily the best diesel engine ford ever made and can easily run 500k+ miles.

Well seems like I was misinformed by my buddy who drove it. It's a f250 3/4 ton xlt. -.- Still...the body is in such good shape I'm still heavily considering it. If I could pick it up for $5k after my mechanic gives her the thumbs up, still worth my time?

It was used for a work truck but it's easily the nicest worktruck I have looked at. I can't get ahold of the guy right now so I can't remember what package it was, but it's an f350. It has maybe 3 slight dents on the bed, slight crack in windshield, and sun spots. Just looks like a work truck that was taken care of. I'm not worked about the tires seeing as they'll last plenty long till I put 33s/35s on it. I'd prolly do a 4 inch lift or so on it to. =P Not sure how to upload pics from my phone or I would. 13 hour shifts 6 days a week is dinner than hell.
