  1. Rusty, great work man. I can tell this isn't your first time. Your cuts are straight and you progress well. Im looking forward to the outcome of this build. I've been considering DC Sound for a while...who knows this build might win me over. Again, great work man
  2. I must say that the difference is significant. Great find GQ
  3. great vid....but it hurts to see you put duct tape on your roof. I bet it left a mark. try packing tape next time. great vid though...good flex
  4. PT, though not terribly necessary, a second battery can still help. You would be surprised to see how quickly that 120 amp alt maxes out....remember only about half of that is available to you when you're running your car accessories.
  5. are you using same size and length wire to both subs? I had an issue like that, and one of my subs would move more than the other. The only thing I can think of is that one sub is getting more power than the other, so either the sub that is getting more power is getting too much or the other one is getting too little....so in any case there could be clipping
  6. This should help you set unique static IP addresses. http://www.hotcomm.com/FAQ/FAQ_staticIPXP.asp
  7. If you know how, I suggest that your first step be to assign static IPs to each of your PCs. That could also be why your router is tearing down your connection every now and then. I had a really weird problem with my netgear where it wouldn't be stable on my DSL line in full duplex mode (send and receive data simultaneously). But first, fix your IPs in the properties of your network connections and see if that solves the issue. If not, we'll move on
  8. oh man for a second there I thought you were talking about a broadband router haha. then you started talking about bits and I was like crap lol
  9. That setup should be a very loud one. Post lots of pics once you get started.
  10. Wicked, that password prompt you're encountering is for the BIOS lock. In other words, you're not even at an operating system level yet...that's just to get past the BIOS. The best way around that is to reset the BIOS, and clear the CMOS. There should be a jumper on the motherboard that can take care of this. If not, remove the cmos battery for at least 15 seconds and then pop it back in. Let us know what happens.
  11. I wouldn't like to figt that guy. lol. he'd put me on my back in a flash
  12. your current alt should work fine. you need a battery in the back, though and maybe an upgraded one to the fron. furthermore, doing the BIG 3 is always a plus
  13. the 12's. no question about it. more cone area, and more motor force. it'll be louder
  14. let me know how that card works for you man. great buy
  15. I have had my eye on Audioque for a while. I have also had my eye on DC sound (lvl4). How do they compare?
  16. Slinky, not only can proxies get you access to sites you probably couldn't access otherwise, but it acts as a filter between a server and a client (your computer). Additionally, many people use proxies to improve browsing performance.
  17. Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing your IDE controllers? Are they running in DMA mode? You can address this through your Device Manager.
  18. slinky did you read that article from any of those sites? : ExtremeTech AnandTech Xbitlabs
  19. it is somewhat easier. i think what makes C++ a little more difficult is that it lets you control system memory directly via the use of pointers. but that also makes it more powerful than vb in that respect.
