  1. Okay, so for the past several months I have been planning my rebuild, and I recently pre-ordered a new DC5.0K. Now I'm just trying to decide what I want to do for subs. I asked this same question about a SMD and got a very good response, so now I want to know the same thing about a DC level 5. I don't really know much about them except they are BEASTY SPL oriented subs. So my question is, in your opinion, how would a single 18" level 5 do in a properly designed 4th order, with a 5.0K seeing proper electric? Is this a "bad idea"? My thought was, if I did the sub inverted in a 4th order, I could possibly still get all the potential from the level 5, and help it see all it's SQ potential. If this is wrong, please tell me why? And thank you for you time! BTW - In case anyone is wondering, I am also leaning heavily on 4 - 18' level 4's, or 2 - 18" XL's. Decisions, decisions!
  2. Not for international orders. Domestic orders are easy and still fairly cheap even with fedex. Overseas is a whole 'nother story. I cant take that type of gamble. It could get lost, it could "fall off the truck", or the recipient could recieve it and claim he didnt......and i would be responsible. I cant have that, especially since some of these countries i cant even pronounce the address or the name......and you havent had fun till you have shipped something to Cyprus, Turkey, or even France. what happened was, we spent an entire monday afternoon printing labels sticking them to boxes and prepping everything to go out. Its a LOT of work, a LOT of ink and a LOT of paper....took us several hours. We got them to FedEx before they closed but the actual truck that picks up their daily packages out to the next "hub" was already gone. That screwed up the tracking numbers a little. sorry about that, at least you know where its at now. It's all good, and yeah I rolf when I thought about all the overseas shipping you are having to do, and not being able to even say their names! Don't feel bad, I can't say them either! But thanks for the update, and for a making a much needed product! I'll make a vid of it in use when I get it on Tuesday. Thanks again!
  3. Hey KB, I have been meaning to holler at you! So you gonna be there? If so, I'll see ya there. If not, let me know, and I'll look you up on Oct. 19th, next time I'm in Columbus. Just wanted to ask you about a few things! Oh and thegreatestpenn - Sorry, I was like "huh"? Thanks for clarifying that for me!
  4. Dang that's a way to get your hopes up Don't feel bad, mine said it would be here Friday, but now it says Oct. 4th. Next effin Tuesday. Yeah, that's how I felt too. Way to get my hopes up! Btw Steve - I shipped using USPS today, flat-rate box, and I was able to get tracking & insurance! And it wasn't too expensive, either. So Idk who told you that you couldn't ship thru them and insure and track your package, but they were wrong man. Just a fyi to maybe help save people money in the future?
  5. Would love to though will So does that mean yes or no??
  6. I'd say add more batteries. XS Power should help u out!
  7. I may come and watch.
  8. No doubt! That is sic as fu*k!!!! Man I'd LOVE to stumble across a couple of those neos! I probably wouldn't know what to do w/ it! So how about moar pics???
  9. Damn dude that looked like it was movin some air! That is a sweet, super sweet ass truck!
  10. I'm jealous! Better take lots of pics!
  11. So Rusty, are these just gonna be for smaller subs, or will they be available on 15's and 18's?
  12. Damn dude that is teh sex!!!!
  13. They also are an oscope, and like i said earlier, if I own one, then I could host events! Try having an event w/o one! I know they aren't for everyone, but they are for me!
  14. Right, and if numbers was all it did, I wouldn't want one either. But they do a lot more than that. And if you just want to look at numbers, the single sensor w/ no add-on is $650. About as much as one good sub... And I don't know what you guys pay, but every event I compete in cost me $25. And just to get on it, not at a show, is $10 Now it wouldn't take very long to add up...
  15. They really don't cost THAT much! I see a lot of people spending BIG MONEY on their systems, hell for the price of 2 good subs you can have a dual sensor setup, w the event promoter and Broadband add-on's! ($1300) To me, well worth the cost!
  16. Yeah they are a little expensive, but so is gas! And I am constantly wishing I had the use of one, but rarely get to actually use it. Not only do I have to drive, but also I gotta make sure the guy that owns it isn't too busy, which he usually is VERY busy. So it's kinda a pain in the ass. But I thought since know one around me has one, except him, that if I get one, maybe one day down the road I could set up some events in my area? Plus I want to one day open up a new shop, and I definitely have to have one by then! I think it would eventually pay for itself! So in my eyes, the cost is well worth it!
  17. I have realized that anyone who is serious about this really needs a term-lab. And the closest one to me is in Jackson, Ohio which is over 30 miles away! So, I have decided to get one. I will probably just save up and get a new, dual sensor unit later this coming spring. But I wanted to throw it out there, just in case someone decides to sell one. You never know when someone might be getting out of the business, etc. I don't expect to find anything used, but might as well try, right? So if anyone knows of any for sale, I would much appreciate it!
  18. Wait, did you say DC 18K??? Man, I didn't even know they made an 18K, holy fuck!
  19. Yeah! Got mine too! Order #362 Says it will be here Friday!
  20. Oh well, very wise choice, totally NOT worth the trouble! Just remember there are PLENTY of fish in the sea!
  21. Hmm, sexy! I'd love to see an 18"! Or 4of em... in my car! Won't be long!
