  1. Have you ever used torres box calculator? it's much more satisfying to do it yourself and it's really not to difficult to use. download it, try it, post pics and we can steer you in the right direction
  2. sub up port back IMO. that seems to be very popular with large trunk cars such as yours
  3. thanks, I just set it up as my background lol. it already looks better
  4. say no to prefab if you want to change your peak frequency. Usually prefab boxes are tuned to higher frequencies which won't allow you to hit the lows like you want to. I wouldn't use a distance from the car that it can be heard to describe how loud you want to be. A lot of people kinda look down on that just so you know. If you get enough power then you will be heard. I was told that people could hear me for a distance with a single 12 on 275wrms.... it's not too difficult Def do big 3 and if you do more power then upgrade alts too
  5. He said 3 15s but that's still a stretch for a trunk build
  6. I'm pretty sure that this site allows you to change colors and resize the gifs. I know there was one case (torres) where he sent me one and I fixed it up and actually had it as my own gif for half a day or so, but he couldn't get it to work on the exact direct link as mine... he also couldn't like any posts since the update. In his case I think the admins would be able to help Edit: forgot to add the site http://www.gifmagic.com/
  7. He doesn't need 25 cubes of space for two 18s.. idk if that was a typo or what...... I have worked on mazda 3 hatchbacks at my work and utilizing just the hatch space two 15s would work just fine. if you want to go 18s, go right ahead but you won't need to need 25 cubes before or after displacements he has a total of 25 cubes to work with lol
  8. you're looking at 25 cubes of volume. I think you could go for it. Recommended net volume for ported ( I assume you want ported ) is 6 cubes per 18" sub
  9. nice man... you got vids. I would really like me some vids right about now
  10. I thought that recommended net volume for a ported box was 6 cubes?
  11. I left all stock wires when I installed the big 3. did you do a run from the starter to where ever?
  12. or borrow one. don't cheap out on one though. it all depends what you want to know. do you want to know what voltage your battery is holding or how much voltage is your amp seeing, which is more important to you? I would personally say do the amp so you can see what voltage it's seeing so that you can tell if it's close to going into protect. I would do a run of remote wire to the HU personally, but you might be able to connect it to remote on the amp. I don't actually have a voltmeter in my car but I've looked around at what my friends have done with theirs.
  13. oh, old wires should stay on for sure
  14. ummmmmm you idk man. batt positive to alt, batt neg to ground, block to neg would a short in the wires cause this to happen? does it just stop or does it spark when you try to do it
  15. it's your choice. do you want to know the battery voltage or the voltage that your amp is receiving. yes, get some roll of wire and run it to the battery or amp. as for calibrating it. Have a digital multimeter on hand (preferable and accurate one) and adjust the screw until it reads what your DMM reads
  16. what is your port area to foot value?
  17. you're now at more net volume than you were before. I would try to aim more for what Robert suggested You might want to glass your box. is it an m1 or m2?
  18. I think this is why. you've just gotta start off slow and work your way up to more strenuous workouts
  19. there are restrictions on how often you can go, you can't just go whenever you feel like it lol
  20. you can't sell unless you have at least 150 post countEdit: I told you too late lol
  21. You might want to invest in some decent midbass drivers for those higher pitched lows. I know my speakers SUCK at midbass so I'm contemplating doing this too
  22. lololol bis or tris? I feel that way sometimes after the gym too, but I haven't been going too hard lately. do you take protein? I have only used GNC amplified wheybolic but it works really well to help in recovery
  23. lame Edit: Have you made changes since I last heard it? It looks REALLY good. My sub comes on on Friday BTW and I might borrow a temp box from Joey until I can build my own
