  2. thanks, I never use photoshop. I'm not very good
  3. you better like this post took 5 or so minutes Edit: you want lower?
  4. I am looking at a singer 200A alt to buy and I was told that it has a voltage regulator built into the alt. Is this the same thing as adjustable voltage?
  5. congrats bro, i was the same way when I was looking for an internship... It isn't the best of internships but hell, it isn't minimum wage, it's 5 minutes from my house, and it's full time. It's good experience too. That's all I can really ask for right there. IMO I like to spend money on the summer and save up for school and other things for the school year to come.
  6. my lvl 4 is expected to arrive on Friday!!! looks like my build can finally move on

  7. Definitely use it if you don't want to scroll through your head unit all day adjusting the subwoofer level lol. I think it would be safe to turn the gains up on your amp up about 3/4 until you get a DD-1 and find distortion. That's what I'm doing anyway until I can get a hold of my buddy's DD-1 or osciloscope. Of course the distortion can vary from amp to amp, depending on the brand and quality. My Sundown SAZ-1500D should have less distortion than my Audiopipe AP-1500D, but I haven't had the chance to DD-1 either of them yet. Edit: nice amp BTW
  8. I thought that you were going for the VZX series when you said the Z-series but I guess I was wrong lol It sounds like you already know what you're doing, I'm already looking forward to videos with these beasts
  9. that sounds AMAZING. $3400 for exhaust sound expensive..... but DEFINITELY worth it
  10. BLOWTHROUGH!!!!! Damn dude those 15's are really slamming the f**k out of your truck lol. looks good, kerfing looks awesome too
  11. Being bass-less is no fun, I might have to dig my Bazooka Tube out of the trash for some temporary bass :(

  12. I don't know much about these subs, but I'll give my $0.02 though In engineering we learn that corners are the weakest point in many structures. Corners get the most stress, which is why rounds are added to corners... in this case, the smaller the radius in the corner, the weaker it is and the larger it is, the stronger it'll be. The bottom line is that if you run this for a very long time (given that it doesn't blow first) then the corners will be first to fail.
  13. Tuned in here, I too have a pioneer HU and I need to DD-1 my SAZ-1500D v2 soooo subwoofer level 6, bass knob full tilt, and adjust gains on amp until you see distortion
  14. Cameraman has clearly never watched porn, he would know the camera angles by watching porn I also approve though. At first I was like holy shit look at that flex, but then I was like it's a soft top lol. Keep throwing us more vids!
  15. I'm sorry to hear that. It's horrible to go at such a young age. I'll keep you in my prayers. Coping with death isn't fun or easy, just take it one day at a time
  16. ^^^^^^I see what you did there, that's punny
  17. 12 to 16 square inches of port area PER cubic feet of net volume for slot ported boxes, High excursion subs are given more port area so lean towards 16 with those. It's just a rule of thumb that makes it easy to have a viable port without having use math/modelling oriented methods. would you consider a DC lvl 4 m2 12" to be a high excursion sub? if so then I need to redesign!Edit: sub hooked up to an SAZ-1500D v2
  18. plug it in, turn it all the way up. then on your amp turn it all the way down and gradually turn it all the way up with a DD-1 meter until it detects clipping. it just lets you control the gains from where you're sitting anyone correct me if I'm wrong
  19. duuuuuuudeeeeeee, shits weak man Nah, it's gonna be loud I'm tuned in Edit: I like the wheels
